Saw a neurologist yesterday and apart from paying €250 per month for CGRP, which is too expensive for me, the only other thing he suggested that I haven’t tried is hypnosis. Has anyone tried this? Any successes? Love to hear your experiences. TIA

Hypnotherapy
Personally if a neurologist said I could try hypnotherapy I would take that as code for "we have nothing"...
Yep, that was exactly my feeling. Thanks for confirming
I have heard that hypnotherapy only works while your actively having it, but I've been told I'm unhypnotisable anyway by a doctor that had a private practise offering hypnotherapy along side his day job as a neurologist. If it worked the NHS would offer bc it would be much cheaper than CGRP!
Hello. I'm afraid that I have nothing of any importance to say regarding hypnotherapy, but I have tried something that is starting to make a difference for me, which you may have already tried, but it is possible that you have not. This is a Cefaly device. Since using it, my migraines are less painful, of shorter duration and when I do use a triptan, I can go longer in-between doses.
I have actually tried all the available cgrp injectable drugs and remegepant ( vydura). The only thing I haven't tried yet is Vyepti which is currently unavailable in UK.
The Cefaly I've found is very helpful. Although there is an initial outlay, it works out inexpensive in comparison to other possible solutions.
I was reading about it yesterday. I may try it but the reviews say it helps some but not others. Thanks for your reply
