I only started suffering migraine in June 2015 after I had encephalitis a virus on the brain. suffer from migraines 3 to 4 times a week. Currently on amutriptaline it keeps me ticking over. Tried ibuprofen sumitrapan and triopimate would not recommend. I'm thinking of acupuncture and getting a dwarf piecing

I have had migraines 4-5 days for just over a year now. Botox has helped me, I'm lucky I can receive it for free in New Zealand from the neurology department at my local hospital every three months. I have tried daily medication like you, but didn't enjoy how I felt on it. I am currently taking daily low dose apsrin 100mg which seems to be helping too. Migraines are a tricky thing, what helps one person may not help another. Hope you feel better soon!

Does a daily aspirin really help, how does it help you? Do you have any side effects from the botox? Thanks

Hi there, I have been using 100mg asprin daily & am blown away by the results. I have now been on it for three weeks and haven't had a migraine for 8 days, I started seeing improvement within the first two weeks with reduced migraine days & even when I did get one the pain was reduced and didn't last long at all. I have horrible circulation like most migraine suffers, so I have teamed daily asprin with a circulation machine - Oxy chi thechimachine.com.au/proper...

which I use for 15mins morning & night. I haven't felt this good in over a year! Botox is great but it just covers up my migraines & wears off leaving me feeling like I did prior, but with Asprin & the circulation machine i feel as though I am treating my migraines not just covering them up. Would highly recommend 100mg daily asprin & the oxy chi to migraine suffers. Hope this info helps :)

Thank you so much, I'm definitely going to try the daily aspirin right now and order me a oxy chi.

You won't regret purchasing the oxy chi it's incredible!!

Here are some of the benefits:

The Oxy Chi Machine produces a relaxing rhythmic motion throughout the body, alleviating stress and muscle tension while loosening the spinal column.

The rhythmic motion is core driven producing a balanced energy wave through the body. The motion replicates exercise in that it promotes the flow of lymphatic fluid and oxygenated blood to all areas of the body.

Energy and Detoxification are improved oxygenation, enhanced lymphatic circulation and abdominal peristalsis.

Physiological benefits:

Improved Circulation and Oxygenation

The OxyChi's wave like motion stimulates circulation, enhancing the oxygen carrying capacity of blood, delivering nutrients to where they are needed, activating cells and stimulating metabolism. Oxygen is essential to all organs of the body and promotes health and wellbeing.

Healthy Joints and Muscles

The swaying motion of the OxyChi exercises and relieves tension in joints and muscles, especially the hips, back and neck. Many people experience relief of headaches, back pain and muscle tension.

More Energy

Improvement in oxygen and nutrition to cells and removal of toxic wastes increases mitochondrial activity (energy production) within muscle and nerve cells

Relaxation

Using the OxyChi is a very relaxing experience, it is effortless and at the same time invigorating

Lymphatic Drainage and Detoxification

Improved circulation and oxygen absorption assist the removal of acids in the body. Lymphatic drainage aids detoxification and stimulates the immune system.

Enhanced Internal Organ Function

The swaying motion of the OxyChi gently massages internal organs and aids peristalsis, improving digestion and bowel function

Spinal and Nerve Balance

The OxyChi helps strengthen and relax the muscles around the spine, promoting a natural realignment and movement of the vertebrae resulting in healthy nerve impulses to all internal organs

Weight Loss

Many people report weight loss while using the OxyChi. This may be due to a number of factors, including improvements in fluid balance (via circulation and lymphatic drainage) as well as the gentle aerobic effect which improves metabolism and fat burning

Hi where did you buy the oxi chi and how much was it. Does it move your body or just send pulses through. Seriously thinking of getting this as my partner suffers with bad back pain. Thanks for you advice

I purchased mine online - m.ebay.com.au/itm/Oxychi-Bo...

You lay down with your ankles in the cradles - the Oxy Chi’s rhythmic motion - or Bodywave - produces a balanced energy wave throughout the body. This Bodywave replicates exercise and promotes the flow of lymphatic fluid and oxygenated blood to all areas of the body.

You can also search YouTube for videos of other people using the machine. Hope that helps :)

Also no side effects from Botox other than a smooth forehead haha. You tend to feel worst before you feel better, after my first round I had a migraine for two days but once that faded I was migraine free for a month. My second round was doubled as my first lot only lasted 30 days, which is normal until the find the right amount to keep you pain free until your next visit. But you will always feel it wear off, but since using asprin I have not experienced this as I believe the asprin is helping me more than the Botox.

A smooth forehead is a plus, lol. But I think I'll go with the aspirin. Thanks again....😄

I had a dait piercing almost 3 months ago. It completely stopped my almost daily migraines for the first 3 weeks. I am now getting them but no where near as often or severe. Certainly worth a try. Amitriptilyne made me like a zombie

Ok, I'm completely clueless on the dait piercing, can you explain how it worked for you and I will also research it online. Thanks

Ok. I was having 4/6 days a week migraines. Waking me up early morning and lasting anything up to 6 hours., sometimes they would just come on randomly during the day. I had heard about the daith piercing and did some research, I was planning to have it done. One day driving home from shopping I had the usuall throb starting and thought I would go and check it out. I walked into the studio and asked, do you do daith piercing. The guy immediately said ' for migraine' I was quite blown by this as I didn't think he'd know anything about it. Apparently he had done many for just that and he explained it worked for SOME people anyway I said when can you do it. And he said now if you like. I had no time to worry or think about and said right go for it. I swear the minute he pierced the daith, I felt a pressure release in my head and the throbbing pain went?... I went 3 weeks without any migraines which was the longest I'd been pain free for years. Gradually they did return but they are no where near as severe and no where near as often. I'm not taking anywhere near as many pain killers. My Triptans which I was taking like smarties, I now take one or half now and again. For me it worked though for some, they haven't had a migraine since, some sadly it didn't work at all. Like everything somethings work for some people and not others. If there was a miracle cure that worked for all we wouldn't be here and wouldn't that be fantastic. You have nothing to lose trying it except the £30 cost of the piercing. Hope that's helped and if you do go ahead with it I hope you are one of the lucky ones xxxxx

Hi! I had daily chronic migraines for 3 years severe for 6 years before that, tried everything nothing ever worked for me. But Botox has given me a new life, I barely get them now, and when I do they are very slight in comparison, I'm from England so I'm lucky it's free, but it is a hard criteria to qualify for, it's the last resort for most, I know it was for me. But some thing to take into account, trigger foods and drinks (if you have any) and make sure you're drinking enough water, I was terrible for this, but it makes a huge difference. Turn your settings on your phone and devices down on the brightness, it's just more comfortable for a migraine brain in general. Hope they find something that helps more soon! Ohh and another thing like the acupuncture, try acupressure points to, there are professional in it that help.m

I was advised by my neurologist to STOP sumatriptan as they cause rebound headaches and have been told to start taking topirimate as a preventive and eletriptan as th pain relief at the onset of th migraine. Good luck. I hope you get some relief x

I read from a piece of nutrional based diet and found out that drinking fresh ginger juice helps suppress the attack . I suffered migraine badly in the past as frequent as thrice a month , now for the past five years I thank God I have lots of relieve , some times once a year and very mild some times none through out the year . I thank God. Please try the fresh ginger in your tea or as it is , with little honey to taste
