depression and making decisions

I’m really struggling with my depression at the moment. I’m signed off work and trying to reach out for support from where ever I can get it. Mostly it’s just a waiting game though. Anyone have any tips on ways to pass the time/keep safe until support actually comes?

It’s a waiting game. You know there’s light at the end of the tunnel, and you will come out of the dark tunnel eventually. In mean time, be kind to yourself: do what you love doing; eat your favourite foods; watch your favourite programmes. Set yourself a mini challenge everyday. E.g. have shower, walk round the block, talk to a friend for 10 mins….

I too am struggling big time. I've been put on Citalopram 40mg and waiting for help. Every where I go it's your on a waiting list. I need the help now not in 3months time. I know what your going through.

The light seems very hard to find this time. Everything I’m trying just helps for the moment. I will try setting myself mini challenges though, I like that idea. Also someone else said to me about setting a small easy check list, just so you can tick things off to feel accomplished. Thank you for your help.

That’s my biggest worry I have a phone assessment next week and I’m worried they are just going to pass me off to something else, rather than helping me. Thanks for commenting.

Whatever turns you on, try reading, going for a walk also writing things down so you do not forget anything. I use a calendarIf you have any hobbies that can also help. I used to go fishing, dancing , you know what you enjoy

Consider joining various clubs or organisations where you can meet people similar to yourself

Thank you. I’m trying that by reaching out. It’s the anxiety of it all sometimes which make it harder.
