I have just been given Aripiprazole to take as well as my paroxetine to help with my ocd intrusive thoughts.I have been on paroxetine for 10 years and neve felt as bad as this. Is Aripiprazole causing my restlesness and feeling irritable? I just can't seem to sit and relax.

I had a restless type reaction to this med at a 2 mg dose

Had to cut back on it.

You should discuss with your md

I'm currently on 5mg for a week and then I will be put up to 15mg after that.

I had a reaction like my whole inside body was " anxious" I'm not sure if it makes sense.

But my md lowered the dose immediately.

Again we are all different. I don't even know if what I'm describing is what you feel. You should run it by the md to be safe.

Yeah I had that for the 1st couple of weeks. The psych gave me valium to take the edge off for a week.

After a month that side effect went away though and it's been great since.

10mg. I've been on that and 225mg venlafaxine for 10+years. Complete lifesaver for me.

I got so much done the 1st couple of months on the arip. suddenly had so much more energy. Don't remember any negative side effects apart from the restlessness initially.

How long have you been taking this medication < Allow five weeks for the drug to take over hopefully all will get better given time. It is important you do not keep changing medications we always need to give new drugs time too Work
