Hello I am new to this forum. The above word is the name of a condition that I had to suffer with. In 2009 I had a stroke in my sleep. I had a MRI Scan that I had a bleed to the head. I was given NO TREATMENT just go home and don't worry.Within a few weeks I was told I had vertigo. Well it was worst than this. I starting having jerking movements in my legs fits and panic attacks black outs no balance could not stand up.But my GPS still said there was nothing wrong with me. At one point I WAS on 12 tablets a day. But NO DIAGNOSIS. They kept telling that I HAD SO MANY TRIGGERS THAT IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO Diagnosis. Walking into the Doctors room holding on to the walls and being supported by 2 sticks They never said A WORD.I WONDER HAS ANY ONE ELSE HAD THIS AND WHAT TREATMENT WAS GIVEN PLEASE.

Hello lynne246. So sorry to hear that you have been suffering for so long.

As I understand it myoclonus refers to sudden, involuntary jerking of a muscle or group of muscles. This is a mental health support community and I have quickly searched our archive and unfortunately nobody on this forum seems to have posted regarding these symptoms.

I wonder if you have ever been referred to a neurologist? Also have a look at the following websites where you will find lots of information and helpline numbers.

headway.org.uk/

stroke.org.uk/

We wish you well and hopefully you will find what you need and deserve.

HiThanks for your message Yes I was referred to a Neurologist. He did not understand what I was going through and laughed at me. The Jerking movement in by legs would always set off a fit and a sezuire . One minute I be walking along the next second I could be lifted off my feet. But also I had no balance due to a stroke in 2009. My Doctors kept giving me drugs for what They did know what I was suffering from. From the Back of me I LOOKED DRUNK. I did not know how to put one foot in front of the other. No messages

from the brain. Could I make N H S understand NO.

Take Care Lynne
