Can anyone help
Good morning, I'm in the USA and having breakfast right now. I remember days when I didn't want to get out of bed. It was horrible, but I noticed my anxiety level would go up if I was excited or scared, or happy. Anything could throw me off. I found I just had to face the fear and go ahead with my life. Easy to say, hard to do. I did everything on shaky legs and being dizzy. Try not to let your anxiety ruin your pleasure in your new home. I will be moving to a new place in a month and I plan to take my time furnishing it. I like old furniture, pieces with character so I enjoy my treasure hunts. It takes time to decorate this way but it becomes a hobby of sorts and seems more personal than buying from a store. It's not to everyone's taste I know. I was in therapy and on anti depressants also so I had help in recovery. It is very hard work and you have to trust logic instead of feelings. Anxiety is a beast , you must kick it's arse. Pam
ps My breakfast menu; tea, toast, tomatoes, and hard boiled eggs. Yum.
Hello Pam
You are moving soon, are you ok ??
BOB
No Bob, I'm not. See my latest post. The move has been planned for some time. We are down sizing .
What State do you live in at present ?
How far are you going.
As you know we downsized several years ago and we moved a good distance from our old property. It was a real wrench and we had ideas of having to sell some of our bits and pieces. It worked out well and we have managed to keep our bits and peaces It is a hard thing to move onto a new place, however it can and does work

We are in the same general area. We , my husband and I, built a condo. The main reason is for our health, no stairs and no outside maintaince .I'm looking forward to it, we have friends who live there and new ones to make. I'm having issues with my kids apparently I am too harsh with them and with their father . I saw it the other way around but when all of them say the same thing the problem must be with me. I am questioning my inner self . It is difficult. Pam

Is the house you are moving from, came furnished or unfurnished ? Can you not take things from your old address ?.
Everyone goes through the same problems you are concerned about. When we moved into our new address we had to have workmen in to renovate the property, then we had to start to decorate the property that took weeks to complete, we slept on camp beds and we used an old three piece that had seen better days. We all go through difficult times and sometimes we may need help with getting relevant furnishings
Have words with charity shops they get a great deal of furniture through their doors, also sometimes Social Services may be able to help. We had no carpets for four years and had to use scraps from our old flat that had been very small.
Try getting assistance to help you move on,
