Sorry if this might sound personal do not feel like you have to talk or anything if you’re not comfortable in doing so.
I just wanted to ask has anyone ever had psychiatric help? And what was it like for you as a person.
I’ve been referred to one today after I explained to my GP about my panic attacks as he says I display signs of hallucinations due to my excessive scratching because it feels like something is under my skin.
Hope someone can give me some guidance.
Thank you in advance!

I have seen my psychiatrist quite a few times. He has been wonderful and has prescribed medication that has helped me to feel "normal" again. Under his guidance my life has been immensely improved.
Jevs98, my counselor talks to me about issues and problems I have. My psychiatrist asks me how everything is going, how I feel and CAN prescribe medication depending on the diagnosis he feels I need help with. Counselors CANNOT prescribe meds.
I haven’t yet no x but i just wanted to message you to wish you luck with your journey 💕
You have come to the right place! LMAO. Do we seek psychiatric help? We fund them . I love my meds, my doc, my therapist and case manager. The resources available to us with a psych diagnosis, in the US anyway, are staggering. Help here is just a phone call away but don’t even think the S word. You will find yourself in lockdown before you can finish your sentence. Take care and welcome aboard.
