I have OCD and I have been trying to find advice from anyone with experience with this. I am constantly fearful that someone around me is going to get hurt. I feel that if I don't do certain rituals that I could be the cause of something bad happening to someone I care about. This is all I think about and my whole day is consumed with fear and worry. I have read to just ignore the thoughts but I don't feel that I can just ignore it if my mind is telling me that I could be responsible for something bad happening. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hi the best people to find help from is the medical professionals. Have you been to see your doctor yet? Are you having any counselling? If not this should be your first port of call.
Hopefully others who suffer from this will be in soon. x
Hi Kimbell1211 and welcome to the forum. This does sound very difficult for you. As hypercat54 asked, have you been to see your doctor yet? There are some very effective treatments available for OCD so that it can be managed and you can enjoy your life more. You may find it helpful to have a look at nhs.uk/conditions/obsessive... which gives a lot of information. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is one of the effective treatments. Please stay on the forum where you will receive help and support from other members. Thank you and best wishes.
Hi Kimbell :)))
I would recommend both modern Mindfulness techniques and Media, specifically female songstresses. There is a reason that they are so popular. They can help melt away your anxiety and there is increasing science that just listening to something good will sooth your brain,
As someone without OCD I find it hard to advise further but just know that all you do is goood and you are not a lesser person for having to think too much about a situation.
Kind Regards and Best Wishies.
