Does anyone out there hear, see, smell and feel things that aren't there. I've had a diagnosis of bipolar for a long time but symptoms have become worse. I have had a lot of very strange symptoms lately that led luckily to phoning the crisis team. I had a very frightening horror movie happen in my home the other night. Does anyone else relate to this. Family were saying its in my head but it felt and feels very real. Who can I chat to about this. I've disconnected all the phones to be on the safe side and staying in my room to stay safe. The spiders are still here, can't seem to get rid of those. They come alive at night. What is this?

Hello Blackclouds-bluesky,
I am very sorry for the difficult time you are having at the moment and it sounds as though you are still scared and apprehensive. I am sure you will soon get replies from our very caring community , they have lots of various experiences and support to offer you. On a positive note, it is good that you contacted the crisis support team. Did they offer you any extra support I wonder? or have they changed or increased any of your medications?. If you are still feeling so unsettled and experiencing lots of different symptoms so that you are confining yourself to your bedroom, I think it may be beneficial for you to contact the team again and also contact your Gp. Your doctor may do a home visit and then you can be reassessed, and see what other support and help is available to you. Perhaps some counselling may help, or even telephone counselling to begin with if you do not feel well enough to go out. Try and talk to your family and explain that the symptoms you are experiencing are because of your mental illness, including your depression and diagnosis of bipolar. Perhaps if they understood a little more about your illness, they may be less fearful and in this way could become more supportive. Have you any friends that you can talk to about how you are feeling? It can help to keep a journal of your symptoms, so that when you see the crisis team and your doctor, you can show this to them. Do have a look through the pined posts to the right side of your screen, where you may find some useful information and contact numbers. Look after yourself and let our members know how you are feeling, so they can respond and help you out. ...........with very best wishes to you.........
I don't think I can reply. The spiders are real. I'm going to try and talk to the rest of them.
Sorry to hear that you're having such a rough time with this. You mentioned that you've had bi-polar for a long time and that your symptoms seem to be getting worse. Do you see a psychiatrist who prescribes medication for your bi-polar? It sounds like you might be experiencing a variety of hallucinations at the moment, so the best person to talk to about this would be a psychiatrist. Take care, keep posting and let us know how you're getting on please.
