Hi dandini09

I don't have a partner who is depressed, and I can only speak about my own experiences of having depression, and what hell can do when it comes knocking at my door!

Depression is complicated & complex as I'm sure you know & each person is unique in how it can affect them! I know there have been times when I've been at the bottom of a pit & cant get out of it because my depression is weighing me down so heavily & my shoulders feel like I'm carrying the world on top of them!

Depression as I've said is different for everyone! I know that when I'm in the darkest places I go to, nothing & no one can get me out, the only person that can start to move me from the darkness of depression is me! Along with medication & some support, but I have to want to get moving!

I don't know how your husband feels as I'm not him! But what I do know is that the first step has to come from me/him! Sorry I know that's hard to hear, and I can see how much you want to help him get better! But there is no cure with depression, just possibly medication & support!

Can I suggest you don't try & deal with this on your own! Talk to your Dr about how You are feeling, how it's affecting You & how hard you are finding it! Try to get some support in place for you which may help to get some support for your husband!

You didn't say if either of you are working? If you're not then maybe looking from support your local mental health team, which your Dr will be able to put you in touch with them! This can help to get you through some of the darker times, so You don't have to be alone going through this time! It great that you've posted & we are a friendly bunch/family who will try & support you as and when we can! Take Lots of Care & try to get some support in place for You, which will help you to help your husband get support!

Warm Wishes. spykey 🤗
