well done going to the doctor. I've had depression recurring since I was about 24 and even now going to the Gp fills me with dread.

I'm pleased you're having some counselling too. Lots of research says medication plus talking therapies is a great treatment for depression.

Well done on making the first steps to recovery ! I too am on sertraline , was on 50mg for two weeks then went up to 100mg . Have been on them 7 months now . They do take time to work but hang in there ! I am now able to cope with every day situations where I couldn't even get out of bed . Don't get me wrong , I still have my down days but they are just like everyone else . I had therapy , I have a support worker too . Hope all Goes ok !
