Horseback riding

Hello everyone! I just wanted to say that I went horseback riding yesterday for the first time since I came to the homeless shelter and it was amazing! It took my mind off things and relaxed me. I work at a barn in exchange for riding and it felt like I was exactly where I needed to be.

Hi Mbvu, I'm relieved you're in a shelter. I know it's not where you really want to be ,but you're safe. How long can you stay there?Are you treated well? You have a lot of courage , stay safe. Pam

I can stay here for 90 days, but might be able to stay until I'm done with school if I ask. I'm fine here. I mean some people are trustworthy while others are not. Thank you for checking up on me.

Sounds fantastic doing the horse back riding! It sounds like you really connected to it & you found it helpful! It's amazing how we connect to animals & they pick up what we are feeling! Having a job & a new home, is a lot better than where you were a week or two ago! It sounds good for helping your mood too, where you could just relax & have some happy thoughts! Horses are very intuative! I'm Really glad you're finding your feet again & life is starting to be kind to you!

Thanks. I was beginning to doubt whether or not leaving right away was a good idea because it was so impulsive.

Seems you just acted on a feeling that had been building for a while. I think you took a stand for yourself by leaving, and I'll bet it wasn't easy. Rooting for you.
