Obsessed with social media - yet not really concentrating on real life
Thinking about being Emo
*woke up at 1am last night and only managed 3 or 4 hours of sleep. Tried to go back to sleep but couldn't.
**only self harmed twice, and those times it was one cut, so I.e I only have two self harm cuts on my body. Ones healed up and you can't see it though. 😌
What do you think?
A)am I depressed?
I haven't told my parents yet; they'd flip out major time!!
B)any tips for starting a conversation about depression with my parents, or, preferably
C) any ways to drop hints to my parents that I'm depressed???
Plz

Hello Asha,
I have addressed your friends problem in your blog.
If you are not sure if you have depression it is important that you talk to your Mother or Father and explain your fears to them. It would be a good idea to see your GP.
When you try and open up to them, be calm, explain your fears, ask them to take you to your Doctors Surgery and explain again, possibly with your Mother and Father present. You can talk with your GP on your own so the GP may ask your parents to leave the room or just have your Mother or Father present.
Something must have caused this, has anyone other than your friend suffered, any problems, is there something affecting you at home. Did you take any examinations and are the results or taking them cause you any problems ?.
It is important if you are cutting yourself to be seem urgently as it can cause problems and you really do not want to hurt yourself

Hi Emo you need to tell your parents as they love you and only want the best for you. Is there a counsellor at your school you could talk to? Or a favourite teacher?
It is important to get help otherwise it could impact your schooling and your life. x
