THERE ARE TIMES A

There are times when life is hard

And I feel a failure

and now is one of those times

There are times when I miss my father

and I feel alone

And now is one of those times

There are times when all is black

and I don't want to go on

And now is one of those times

Black cat in a coal shed at night

Drowning in an ocean of despair

And now is one of those times

THERE ARE TIMES B

There are times when I sense my father near

and I am not alone

And now is one of those times

and I turn the light on

dreaming of dinner

Love those - the way a few simple word changes the whole picture, exactly the way it is in reality.

Like the way you have a talent for conveying complexity and emotions with such economy of words. I always end up getting flowery.

At the time it's usually because a few words is all I can actually manage - just haven't got the energy for anything else
