I am so sorry you are having a bad day.

My friends are all too busy as well and you are alone...it's horrible.

Could I suggest you ring the Samaritans or your crisis team to disuss how you are feeling?

You at least you know someone will listen....hope you feel better soon xx

HI there, I am so sorry you are feeling bad and have no one to talk to. Try and phone the Samaritans, at least it will give you someone to talk to, and it does help. Have you a GP you could even make an appointment with?

Its hard to be Depressed and have no one to share things with. Take care.

Hi Scooby my medication was changed back in nov12&gain jan13:( iv been thinkn2day &im gona give dr call in morning 2tell him how low been feeling last few wks gain&maybe hel up my medication gain? Was on75g of Citalopram 11/12 then put on venlafaxine which made me worse!:/

Venlafaxine is a horrible medication. In my experience it kept being increased until I was a the highest dosage. The horrible side effects for me began to outweigh the benefits & was a horrendous time in coming of them.

In my opinion try to steer clear of them.

Hi this is only my 2nd time, I hope you don't mind me asking you about the Venlafaxine, I don't know of anyone who is on this med. I have been under the psychiatrist for 3years and clinically depressed for about 6yrs. I had been on Flufloxetine ? for the other 3yrs. I moved to a different County after a suicide attempt. When I finally found a new GP I was in a terrible state, moved over 60miles and only know one person. Anyway, sorry I'm not getting to the point. The Psychiatrist who I am under here put me on Venlafaxine and Quipedine? Eventually I was on the highest dose like yourself 225mg and 1 75mg a day. I took the others but came off them quickly as they gave me a terrible headache. My worry is I have been on this dose now for 3yrs. I don't know anyone with any information, if you get the time could you tell me what you know about it. I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

Hi there, thinking about you today and hope you are feeling a tiny bit better. Definitely ph. your Dr. Dont ever feel that you are not Depressed enough to phone the Samaritans, we all need to talk to someone at different times in our life, there are no measurements to quantify this, your pain is your pain.

I myself am on Venlafaxine, and I must so that I feel its ok for me, we are all different, so I dont agree with anyone dissing any medication, what suits one wlll not suit another. Our Depression could be a different type too.

Anyway I hope you go to Dr. because if you decide to do nothing, nothing will change. Big hug.

How long have you been on your meds, ??? is it a signal that maybe the dose isnt enough or time to change them, you need to make a appointment to discuss this with the gp, asap. they get paid for seeing you, so in a way your keeping them in a job!!!

take care we are all here for you, as we have had those times ourselves.

Linda

When my Physciatrist put me on Venlafaxine & they kicked in they where great & I was on 375mg for 6 yrs. However I began having low moods & black clouds more & more frequently along with panic attacks, so for me the side effects I suffered where Insomnia, excessive sweating & mood swings. It was my choice to get off them & did so but it was not easy. Withdrawal effects where severe for me & I would recommend you dont stop taking Venlafaxine without the supervision of your GP or Physciatrist.

I hope this helps you & you seek help soon.

Jackie :) xx
