What is the itchy, redness and dry skin itch occurring near my crotch?

Hello. I was wondering if anyone here would happen to know anything about a jock itch that is itchy, has redness and is dry. This is occurring near my left side of my crotch.

I used to suffer this, tight trousers and man-made material underwear turned out to be my worst enemy. It may be fungal, in which case remove the warm and moist environment that allows the fungus to thrive, i.e. keep the area as clean, dry and cool as possible and wear cotton underwear. Anything you apply to it could make it worse. Make sure you don’t use strong or perfumed soaps and ensure you’re properly dry after bath or shower. It could take a week to clear up.

Try coconut oil, I use it regularly and it really moisturizes the skin so much more effectively than other products. See if that gets rid of the problem.

I think in a way its abit like nappy rash it's where you sweat alot what i think you need to do is buy a cream like Sudocrem or Aqueous Cream put alittle of that on especially overnight it should clear up quite fast but be warned don't use to much otherwise the cream will run everywhere just a tiny bit after your shower or bath remember it gets quite hot down there so just a tiny bit of cream over the area haven't looked at your profile mate so not sure if you're in the Uk or not but here you can buy this cream over the counter with no problems when it's cleaned up after a shower or bath just put abit of talcum power on the area just alittle its the sweat from your body causing this once it breaks out into a sore it might get painful and then of course Mr infection could set in that area of your body is super for infections they love dark damp areas with salt which comes out of your body. I have suffered this for many years now and I'm happy to say using Daktacort cream form my GP that it is under control. This is a Hydrocortisone cream and my one worry is that although I do use it sparingly it does thin the skin so as much as I do use it I also in between use and instead of occasionally use E45 daily use cream as it is fast absorbing and does not leave your skin greasy,

My advice try E45 regular if it does not clear speak to your GP as he will always know best.
