Can’t pee after circumcision

Hello I am 17 I got circumcised 1 week ago due to phimosis I am finding it hard to pee normally as it is coming out to fast and it feels very tense. So my doctor told me to try pee Into warm water and that helped me pee but when I try to pee normally It stings any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

You should be sitting down to pee for the first couple weeks. The swelling means it might not be what you're used to before the operation. Circumcision takes a while to adjust to

We are born with a foreskin for many very good reasons. One of these is to help us when we urinate. The foreskin has a lip on its underside much like the spout of a teapot which allows a steady stream of tea into a teacup or mug. Do you see?

If our foreskin is cut off, the flow of urine becomes uncontrollable and can sting until we learn to dilute it by drinking plenty of water every day. I was told to do this by a nurse at my local Doctor's Practice. She asked me to return a couple of weeks later; told me to wee into a bottle while she watched my reaction. I had no stinging at all...!

I'm circumcised like you, and your problem is just one of its complications following surgery. But please try drinking plenty of water every day.

drink more water and sit to pee I was cut at 13 so was still wearing briefs at the time also helped
