Hey all... just over 4 weeks healed (and fully aware that's still early days). Most stitches dissolved, just 4 left to fall out, and those prickly little terrors can hurry up! 1) Wanted to ask the wider group if anyone else suddenly experienced a phase of your penis sometimes going super flaccid and heavy at this kind of stage of healing. Sometimes it feels like it weighs a tonne.

2) Also, just where one of my stitches has yet to fall out, the skin around it is hard. Did anyone else experience this, and did it resolve?

Yes I experienced that. Sometimes my penis felt heavy like it was full of blood but still soft. It settled down in a few weeks but think it was everything repairing itself inside.I also had a hard lump on the stitch near the frenulum. It was last to come out and afterwards I used coconut oil which helped to soften it

Thanks for that. I'm seeing my surgeon on Wednesday so will probably hear the same from. I am also very conscious that at just over 4 weeks since the op, I am very much still healing and months away from full aesthetic healing. Just nice to get a bit of reassurance from people who have gone through it.

Yes it always helps. I hadn't found this site back then, wish I had. There's a world away from how it looked first weeks and what it looks like now. At beginning I couldn't believe that it would ever be ok

Haha, that's true. I took a picture each week and use it as reference to remind myself of how much I've healed. Day 1 it looked like a dog's dinner and I didnt wanna get out of bed. Today is day 30, and it's healed so much, far less bruising, stitches falling out all over the place, wearing pants, up and about, etc. Just need the swelling to die down a bit and I'll be right as rain. LOL

im on my 4th week too and the stitches are just poking out honestly, does this mean they are coming out even though they are called dissolvable stitches?

Yes. Mine became quite itchy and dry but they almost rubbed away as time went on.

Morning - woken up today to find that the most annoying of the stitches that was hanging out has rubbed off in my pants during the night. It's left a little hole, but I expect that will close up as it all rights itself down there. Only 3 dangle stitches left to go... although I can tell there's plenty healing left to do.

Yes the holes do close quickly. Once they start to fall apart the others follow quite quickly. TBH I helped some of mine along as it was only the area exposed to air that were intact.

It's so odd. Just a few days ago I was thinking how slowly the stitches seemed to be falling out and I felt like I was healing behind schedule. And now, I've only got a few stitches left visible, less pain, etc. Feeling in a good place this morning.

Yes. Once they go they go. To be honest the stitches were driving me mad. Once they have gone it was much much better.

I hope that holds true for me too. The stitch line feels tighter now I'm having full-size erections again... I hope the stitches falling out combined with the skin stretching more often will loosen that all up a bit.

5 weeks after OP. Penis feels heavy when flaccid and hard below, back of the head and has donut like swelling. Anxious if it will ever go away. I can wear underwear now, so glad. Can’t seem to touch the glands still way too sensitive. Is there anything i can use to help with the sensitivity, oils? No way i’ll be ready for masturbation or sex at 6 weeks, no way. I don’t even know when that will be but hopefully don’t have to wait longer than 6 months.

Hey. Everybody's healing time is different. I waited 8 weeks before I masturbated because I didn't think I was fully healed and didn't want to set things back, so go at your own pace. My swelling took longer than expected to go away too and I also had a hard lump at the top of my frenulum that took ages to heal up. Good that you're wearing underwear again, because the only way to reduce sensitivity in my opinion is to get back to normal and get used to the sensation of your glans rubbing against clothes. I did protect if I was doing anything strenuous because getting a knock was painful.

thanks man. Moving forward with a positive attitude. Some days are harder than others. Masterbation was the only pleasure/stress relief in my life. Now that seems to stopped for the time being and topped with no sleep, falling behind on bills for taking 2 weeks off. Topics on this forum have been huge help.

Glad the forum has helped. It just takes a while to get back to normal but every week you should see some improvement. You're right masturbation is a great stress reliever and it's hell having to abstain but you'll soon be back there. I know it drove me crazy because you want to have a wank but you don't want to damage anything. Give me a shout if you want to ask stuff and hang in there

Is there any kind of oil i can use on the glands to help introduce touch. Also been reading that will need lots of lube when the time comes. Water based lube or any kind will work?

You'll see a few different things from different people. Vaseline is good to help stop rubbing and friction. Coconut oil also seems to help. Vitamin E oil is good to improve healing. Yes I can't masturbate without lube now. I prefer water based but still haven't found anything that doesn't go tacky by the time I'm halfway through. I just bought a selection off Amazon to try

Better to wait. If it's still swollen it means there's still healing going on,tempting though it is to go for it

Definitely better to wait. I did until about week 7 or 8. For a few months it was pretty swollen after masturbating but only for a couple days. As the weeks pass it gets better and better.
