Frenuloplasty with electrocautery not healing, more than 2 weeks post OP

Hello,

I'm sorry for panicking, but I did a frenuloplasty abroad using electrocautery method, so no stitches. It's been more than 2 weeks but I don't see any progress in healing, and sometimes there is bleeding ( especially if getting morning erections ). Is that expected? Should I wait more? I've been using fusidic acid for a while but now just applying some wound healing gel.

The fren is usually slow to heal. If you are following medical advice, then applying the wound healing gel will promote recovery. Avoiding unnecessary friction by wearing microfibre or synthetic pants may be beneficial too.

When a guy is circumcised and the fren is removed, the surgeon will generally advise that the fren will heal a week or so after the circumcision wound...so that is around 3 to 4 weeks on average.

Bleeding and lymph leakage is normal but if it's excessive, check in with your surgeon or GP.

My fren is going in April but sadly stitches for me. Non-dissolvable too!

Best of luck mate.
