i have 5 stictches that have broken off and have washed it with salt water everyday will it heal properly

A few burst stitches is common as well as a small amount of blood and lymph leakage from the wound in the first two weeks.Try and avoid day time erections and do all you can to reduce the ones at night: empty your bladder before bedtime or when you need to during the night, sleep on your side, and in the foetal position if possible.

The salt baths promote healing and reduce risk of infection so you are doing the right things to promote healing after your circumcision.

A cold compress on the groin wrapped in a towel can help reduce swelling : every couple of hours for 5-10 minutes if you need it.

My surgeon is prescribing an antibiotic gel to apply once the bandage is off as another way to reduce the infection risk. I'd have preferred a couse of antibiotics but he wasn't buying that!

As you would have been advised by the surgeon, if the wound smells, the swelling does not go down or is increasingly painful, there is lots of bleeding or you run a temperature, seek medical assistance fast.

Hi. How long after operation are you? The wound heals from the inside out. If no bleeding then it should be fine.

theres no bleeding im 2 weeks into surgery
