Please help me. I had grade 4 phimosis. I had never seen my glans before. The ONLY reason I got the surgery was that I was not able to have unprotected sex or get blowjobs because they were painful. I did circumscision + frenuloplasty.
Now that almost all of my pins have fallen and I'm going to the doctor tomorrow to remove my remaining pins, one question is killing me - when can I have normal sex again? The sensitivity is CRAZY high. I cannot touch it. I can't imagine my girlfriend touching it.
I don't want to be applying numbing spray to have sex for the rest of my life. I'm extremely scared. Can someone please tell me after how long can I be alright?

It might feel like it will never end, but I promise it does get better. I was cut on 18.7.23 and I couldn't even wear boxers for 2 weeks. Now it's been almost 3 months, and things are pretty much normal. I managed to put a condom on about a month ago, although slightly uncomfortable. It just needs time. When I finally was able to wear boxers, I covered my penis in vaseline and a bandage for the following few weeks to reduce the discomfort of it moving around when I walk. It can be mentally draining, but hang in there!
Took a good few weeks before getting comfortable. But it takes months and months to fully desensitise. Just know that it gets getter each and every day…
It does not hurt. You will need lubrication moving forward now that you have no foreskin to assist. Overall, happy with post op will take some time for adjustment and also could take up to a year to see the full results according to my Doc and he is correct. It looks different each passing month.
Thank you so much for replying! But i read online that if you try to protect your glans from touching the fabric, it takes even more time to heal. What do you feel? Also, does the drip protection hurt?
Yes that is very true. But my job requires me to move around a lot so there was still touching/friction from walking driving etc the drip protection does not hurt it's just a little barrier to help with the hypersensitivity and as you get more comfortable you can use it less.
Also have you ever tried lox gels or some other local anesthetic creams? I read online that you could try these if you want to have sex and it takes away all the senstations?!
It will get better. I had to change the type of boxers I wore. I now wear tight with no seam trunk boxers. It holds the 'lad' in place and stops movement and friction
I get it. I also wear a gauze around it and it prevents it from touching any clothing so it doesn’t hurt at all but when I touch it it stings. I can’t be wearing gauzes all my life
it will be Ok - I was cut July last year and it’s bad for a few weeks… I went for the “tough it out” approach and just coped with the discomfort from about week 3… in a few weeks it’s just normal and you get use to it. A year on… it really is no problem at all and I just wish I’d had the op 20 years earlier!
Had fairly bad phimosis and recurrent balanitis. For the first few weeks I used gauze squares coated with Vaseline in tight briefs… but could only cope for about 30/45 mins max dressed!! Then naked won the day! By about week three I was dressed and wearing normal clothes… sensitive but toughing it out. It’s difficult… but so you get over it quicker I think
From about day 2/3 I tried to go for a short walk each day… but I could only manage to wear underwear (or any clothes) for minutes at a time - I put Vaseline covered gauze over the glans, pointed my chap upwards and wore tight briefs. 30/45 minutes later is was ripping them off as was unbearable!
That stage only last weeks buddy. It gets better and now I have an amazing cock that I wish I’d had for years!
It's been a few years since my Surgery but I can still remember the pain in those first few weeks. Tight pants to keep it still helped, then introducing gentle touch to build up resilience. It can take time, but you will get there.
It was at least six weeks. Starting with a condom was probably not the best idea but the next few times we used plenty of lube, which really helped. It does get better.
I’m intact but sometimes wear a condom on just the head(handy for driving/jerking, no mess!). I wonder if that’s an option for sensitive head, providing it is healed?? You shouldn’t have the friction factor??
