7 days post circumcision glans bruising

I had a circumcision 7 days ago today.

Everything seems to be going well. No bleeding after 5 days. Pain was a 2 out of 10 so I barely needed any pain killers.

The only problem that I encountered was that the bandages were wound too tight right after the procedure and by the time I arrived home (5 hours, due to a traffic jam) and had a look at my penis the glans was deep purple, almost black in colour.

I kind of freaked out and called the surgeon immediately who informed me to remove the bandage. I felt a rush of blood go to my glans as soon as I removed the bandages.

I must admit I found the bruising on my glans quite alarming, which the surgeon told me was quite normal.

The bruising seems to be slowly disappearing towards the end of the glans but I am a little worried that my poor guy was without oxygen for a little too long.

Call me paranoid but can anyone else share their story of bruising after a circumcision?
