Partial circumcision can't pull remaining foreskin back

29yo. I had a partial circumcision and a frenuloplasty done about 5 weeks ago due to phimosis. I'm slightly concerned that I can't yet pull the remaining foreskin all the way back. It seems quite tight around the middle of my head and doesn't want to go further back, my head actually starts to feel numb with an erection. I'm actually terrified that I might get paraphimosis if I do pull it all the way back. Is this a concern or like everything else do I just need to wait for things to settle and heal or should I be able to do this with ease? If anyone else has been here before me I'd be very greatful if you could let me know if I should be worried 😟

Hi , I’d give it a bit more time maybe a month or so & see how you are , was it your choice for a partial circumcision or the doctors ? There’s quite a few men later in life who have to get circumcised again due to having a partial circumcision especially if it was done at a younger age .

Yeah I've de idea to give it more time. I had a short frenulum which wouldn't let me pull back. Took me a moment to realise that it being swollen and not yet longer until the swelling goes down over the next 6 months is probably why I can't pull back more. A little difficult because I cant really clean what I can't get to. I decided on a partial and am happy with that aspect of it just need to wait a bit longer for the recovery I suppose 🤞

Partial circumcisions are very prone to later problems and are not recommended by experienced urologists and doctors.

My urologist (who did my partial circumcision) told me that I was very unlikely to experience problems in the future.
