Can not remember if I have put this on. I went for a medical examination and when the female doctor examined my penis she said that my foreskin is not going back to the top of my penis what could it be and what will happen if it doesn't go back to the top of my penis

Thank you I have got to see a urologist some time but still waiting for a appointment

I had to wait two years for a urology appointment, and in desperation visited the hospital's 'PALS' unit which managed to get me an appointment within a fortnight. It may well be worth you trying the same trick. I believe every NHS hospital has a 'Patient Advice and Liaison Service' department.

Hello Tons23! I'm not sure I quite understand what you mean. Are you saying that when your foreskin is pulled back, you can't get it all the way back over the glans? If so, it is absolutely fine as long as the foreskin does not form a tightening behind the corona of the glans which would strangle it and create a paraphiomosis. If your foreskin is short or slightly tight and doesn't fully cover the glans, or not at all, it has no bearing on your sexuality. Many men keep their foreskin voluntarily rolled up at all times, believing that this gives a more virile appearance to the penis. A photo would help us better understand the situation... Sincerely.

She should've told you what it meant. Some men don't care for it to stay back. As long as they're happy they're fine. But it sounds like phimosis. I had my foreskin removed due to that. I've had days where I wished I hadn't done it and days I'm on with it. Just make sure you're all in on whether to get it taken off or you'll regret it.

It disturbs me that you mentioned the doctor was female as if that has anything to do with her level of expertise. Women have been examined and treated by male gynecologists for years. Let’s not be misogynistic!

HonuHonu I agree. It makes no difference to me regarding the sex, or sexuality, of the examining health professional.

At the age of 57 I was required to have a full body exam. When it came to the genitalia the doctor grasp the tip of my foreskin and slid it back to exposed my glans in it entirety. After thoroughly examining my penis he asked me if I ever had an infection or tightness in my foreskin (which I did as a kid). At the age of 66 I had another full body exam. The doctor grasped the tip of my foreskin and made no effort in pulling my foreskin back and commented to the nurse standing by taking notes that my foreskin has "phimosis" and needs to be circumcised. I still remember his comment that circumcision is not that painful but it needs to be done. "Make an appointment with an Urologist to have your foreskin removed tomorrow". I never did.
