I've suffered with sore foreskin and a burning sensation in my head following sexual activity with my partner, the discomfort was pretty straight away. My skin was slightly red but that's died down now so assumed friction. We then had sex again and the burning sensation and slight soreness has returned. I am just on a week after and still have occasional sore foreskin and that occasional burning sensation. I think I notice it more when thinking about it.
Anyone got any tips on how to treat this? I was worried it maybe Balanitis from friction but all seems good apart from this sensation of burning. (I had balanitis in 2015)

I agree with the advice already given. Wash after sex and change the shower gel. A change in washing powder and any other chemical can have an impact too
It sounds very similar to how I felt, For about 3 years I used to really want but really dread sex because I would get the same issue. Mentally it wasn’t good to have negative thoughts about a pleasurable experience. I went to the doctor a few times and went private for a few tests. As after using various prescribed creams and techniques that helped the issue go quicker after sex, it never cured it. Eventually it turned into small blisters after sex so I was diagnosed with Zoons balanitis so I got circumcised last august.
I would suggest try everything you control at home.
Thanks for the message. Yeah I keep good hygiene down there and I dab after I've been for a pee, certainly since I had balanitis a few years back. I've gone years without issue, maybe the odd discomfort after which lasted like a few hours.
I want to avoid circumcision. Its just annoying apart from the burning sensation it's all good. I have noticed when I wake up I'm total fine and after the first pee of the day it starts again which makes me think its the irritation that brings it back.
1. Get checked for all STD / STI asap!! Even if u think theirs no way she would cheat on me, do it anyways! And it could even be true that she didn't cheat, some std u can carry for years without it manifesting, but they are still contagious and can manifest at any time! Most std are quickly and easily curable but if left unchecked for years can be lethal, or cause permanent damage. but burning when u pee, and burning sensation definitely warrants getting checked!! Planned parenthood is free and discreet.2. It could be a yeast infection, which guys can get, especially in uncircumcised guys. In which case over the counter creams will work along with no sex til healed. If it is a yeast infection you probly got it from her, she may have an unknown yeast infection, or some girls just have a lot of yeast down there. In which case an immediate shower after sex every time.
3. If it is balantitis Over the counter cream like lotrimin will help.
Is the burning on the foreskin, the head, the tip, the urethra? Is it discolored? Does it also itch? Are their any tears, scratches, cuts, micro tears?
