Hi guys. Thought I’d share my circumcision experience, to ease my concerns as well as provide comfort for others.
I’m Norwegian, and circumcision is not at all standard here. I’ve had a slight tight foreskin since my childhood, but it was never a big issue. Remember going to the doctor at the age of 5-6, but nothing was done. As I turned 18 however, I decided/was adviced to do a frenulum operation. I’m now 32.
So basically my sex life and penis has been with no issues since about a few years ago, I started to develop balantis. It would come and go, I drove me nuts. After multiple rounds with the doctor, a circumcision was decided and oh boy I’m just happy to be alive.
The operation took about 30-45 minutes, and it had to be the 5-6 needles that was the worst part. After that I covered my eyes and zoomed out.
Post operation, I had a small bandage covering it and I had to walk about 15 minutes to get to my commuting service where all departures were delayed for an hour. This almost killed me, I had another 45 minutes to get home after that. Had to pee while waiting for transport, and it sure looked pretty beat up.
First week was the worst for me, but most of the concerns were in my own head. Does it heal properly, will it become infected, and those sort of things.
First few nights pretty bad in terms of sleep. No major pain with erections though. Just very unusual going to sleep on my back. Had some pretty bad bruises and swelling, that’s mostly gone now. The only swelling left is around the incision site. Went to the gym for the first time again today, as I was really dying to get going again. All went well. Still using a small compression/bandage wrapped around, in case of discharge/bleeding (easy to control and see). No bleeding as of now, scab starting to wear off and just some minor yellowish discharge from underneath the frenulum area. There’s some whitish thing sitting in that are as well, not going away. It’s concerned me a little, but after some reading it seems as this is just lymphatic fluid and will go away?
Stitches are dissolvable and seems like they are starting to go away. Still very eager to see the end result here, but it’s looking better and better each day. Much more at ease now than I was in the first week. This can really affect your mental state, so be sure to talk to someone. I’m glad I have people with sense of humor around me. Glad I had the frenulum operation years ago.
Still not had a full fledged boner, and will stay way from any masturbation until I’m 100% sure the wound is healed. Ordered an anti scar cream and bio-oil that I will apply once healed.
Very optimistic as of now, and just reliefed I’ve done this. Hopefully the balantis issue will completely go away. I’ve developed partial blushing on my glans from it, it’s got a slight different color than the rest, seems to have gotten chronic. So very eager to see if that goes away, might need to see a skin specialist.
