Has anyone ever been in hospital ( in U.K. here) and found themselves with so many wires - it’s difficult to go the toilet.

I’ve just been in hospital and it was a nightmare. At 55 am quite fit but being on a bed with drips; I found a need to go every 2-3 hours. The cardboard tube things I found were awkward largely because I noticed my penis completely shrunk. This led to me sitting on a commode to urinate.

all in all it’s very difficult and degrading when you find yourself wetting the bed.

I ended up getting a commode ! But it did the trick and gave me a modicum of dignity and relief!

Wouldn't you have had catheter fitted to you so you wouldn't struggle like that>

catheters are not the answer for an otherwise fit and healthy bloke. Men need better care not convenience.

I agree, sometimes they put it on because they are not willing to check back as often as they should!

it seems they don’t care how you manage as long as you do, then it makes more work for them changing beds etc
