I’ve never had trouble getting an erection. Ever since I was a kid I could practically get an erection on demand. (My dad says I nearly always had an erection when I growing up lol) Once I got to puberty, it usually only took about 3-4 minutes of masturbation to get a great orgasm and ejaculation.
I still get very hard rigid erections. But since I started Zoloft I swear it takes forever to get to orgasm. I can masturbate sometimes for an hour and always feel like I’m on the edge, even get plenty of pre-cum flowing. But can never orgasm and subsequently no ejaculation. Anyone else experience this?
Per Harvard website- In addition to reducing interest in sex, SSRI medications can make it difficult to become aroused, sustain arousal, and reach orgasm. Some people taking SSRIs aren't able to have an orgasm at all. These symptoms tend to become more common with age.
So to test out the various theories I’d been reading about I paused my Zoloft for the past three days. This morning, I was able to pop an erection basically on demand with some visual stimulation, and successfully masturbate to a very satisfying orgasm and ejaculation within about 3-4 min. Definitely much quicker than I have lately, and much more pleasurable orgasm than I’ve had in a while. So might need to talk to my doc.
Thx everyone for the feedback

I’m on a low dose of sertraline and did experience what you’re describing. I can control it though by just backing off the meds a bit. On the meds I don’t really have any kind of response to anything. Erections are soft. I could masturbate or have sex (if I can get hard enough) for an hour and never cum. Sometimes I’ll leak precum. But if I back off the meds for a day or two then I’ll pop a boner at the slightest breeze and cum within a couple minutes of masturbating or intercourse.
