Day 14 Post Op Circumcision

Finally beginning the third week of recovery. It has honestly felt like months already, but I think I’m happy with my progress. Things were super painful and quite shocking to look at for a while, so much so that I started to get mentally down on myself and even questioned my decision. But thankfully as things have started to improve and after talking with you all I feel so much more encouraged.

Right now biggest issue is controlling erections. At night obviously it’s uncontrollable and luckily since like maybe day 8 or 9 I haven’t gotten a nighttime one that I’ve noticed. Before they were coming and waking me up, and then I couldn’t get back to sleep. My sleep pattern was all messed up. But now I’m finding it harder to control waking boners! I avoid triggers like porn and social media and have been proud of my self control. But now it seems like I’m just getting hard randomly for no reason. I have been practicing mental tricks to try to will it down before it gets completely hard, but even still I can feel the tension of pinching of stitches when it starts to rise. Any of you experienced this random daytime boners, and any tips on how to keep them away? Should I be concerned with the pulling of stitches if I can’t prevent getting the full erection?

Next hurdle will be returning to work on Monday. I’m super nervous because I haven’t been fully dressed a lot since the surgery and when I have been the sensitivity of the glans has been crazy! Trying to walk has resulted in some awkward stances and gaits. I’m hoping not to be embarrassed but the feeling is like a shock wave to the body if I try to walk normal. How did you all cope with sensitivity when returning to normal stuff like work, or was it not that big of a deal for you?

Lastly, how can you tell wha kind of “cut” you have? I wasn’t specific with the surgeon, but did inform him I grow substantially when erect from flaccid. He said he would keep that in mind for me. I’m still quite tender so haven’t messed around with incision line too much other than to clean and apply ointment. But any clue what style I got?
