post circumcision, I've been having this mild urge to urinate often

I was circumcised on Monday due to phimosis. The surgery was absolutely fine and during the healing process so far I've had no issues aside from swelling which has greatly reduced over the past couple of days thanks to rest and ibuprofen. The problem is I feel this mild urge to urinate often but most of the time when I go there's never much. My urethra is not blocked, there is no stinging or pain when I urinate and I've never had these issues before. I did visit my doctor two days ago about it. The doctor tested my urine and said that there was no sign of any UTI or infection but she has sent it off for further testing.

So the only thing I can think of is that maybe due to the temporary increased sensitivity... maybe its making me feel like I have the urge to urinate or maybe its to do with the slight swelling that still remains. It might be putting pressure on my urethra which makes me feel like I need to go. I'm just not sure.

Has anyone else here experienced this or something similar? any help, past experience or advice would be appreciated as I cant seem to find much about it online.

Have same exact 1:1 problem. Got circumcised 2 days ago and I feel the constant urge to pee and when I go to pee I barely pee.

It comes and goes. Honestly from most of the stuff I've looked at my best guess is that its just heightened sensitivity and swelling due to the operation. Keep an eye on this post. hopefully someone will reply with an answer from their personal experience.

Hi, if it’s any help this also happened with my son who was circumcised due to phimosis and had urethral dilation. He often needed to wee and nothing would come and also just sometimes spontaneously started weeing in random places whilst walking round the house… the urologist said it was just in his head and it did pass after a few weeks. Good luck to you, I’m sure you will be fine 😀

Just an update to my previous post, I am on day 10, the healing is going very well, 5 stitches have already come out, the need to urinate frequently disappeared as the healing progressed, hopefully this helps anyone who may be going through the same thing
