Circumcision - Urinating and blood

25 days post op circumcision, still have swelling. Went to the bathroom and sat down to urinate, the pressure was too much my penis forced out the urine, I couldn't control it, felt a pinch and a few drops of blood dropped out of the urethra. No burning or prior urinary problems. Booking a gp (doctor) call up.. Anyone experienced this?

Doctor examined me and said this is one of the complications of adult circumcision, as i have no andomen pain, which would signal something more sinister.

I have been given a steroid as cream and penicillin.

He wants to makesure no infection in the tracts.

Imo i think i held in my urine which built up pressure, that caused the friction, which led to bleeding. Some advice, if you need to go please go don't build pressure.

Any persisting bleeding i need to call, but it's only little for now and stops.

I think you are doing the right thing by checking with your GP.

3 hrs since bleed, had to urinate again. No bleeding, just residue blood dripping because of urine. No further bleed, just a slight pinch when finishing urinating at the end, hope i just strained something that can heal over several days. But gp will be booked.

I had the same issue . Few drops of blood came out before urinating, and thers is a burning when urinating. But it happened only once then it is ok. Anyway i told my surgeon about this in our next meeting . He asked me to meet after a week to check healing. He examined and told thers nothing to worry about , and give time about 6 weeks and come meet of thres any issue .

Really appreciate the reply! Reassuring to know others have gone through the same, as seeing blood coming out your penis is very alarming. I am currently awaiting a doctors call in just over an hour to get advice or checked hopefully. Im drinking water regularly to flush out. But really appreciate your comment, couldn't sleep.

Hi asrik I had surgery 2months ago most of it was is OK but I'm aving a burning sensation sometimes when I go to loo and I've got a soft lump on left side glans,Consultant said 2 weeks everything fine and ok but it still worries me

Hi, with the burning sensation, it may sound simple but drink a lot of water, something that i am doing more of to flush out any inflammation.

The lump sounds like a swelling.

Tbh i would get a second opinion from another doctor, I've spoken to two doctors so far.

The doctor i saw today said if it comes to a time that you can't urinate, that's when it becomes severe and next steps are urgently needed.
