This might be a really stupid and embarrassing question but I'm really confused and need some guidance.
Some context: I'm 21 years old and I got my circumcision around 6 weeks ago. Before my cut, I NEVER exposed my glans even while erect / masturbating due to phimosis. For the first few weeks after my cut, my sensitivity was absolutely through the roof. I wasn't able to start gently touching my glans until around week 3. Until week 5, I fully wrapped both the cut and my glans with Vaseline because I was very afraid of wearing underwear gauzeless. For the past week or so, I've started to wear underwear without gauze everyday (morning and night) and things have been better than expected. I position my penis upward toward my belly button and wear tight boxer briefs to keep everything from moving. I can now touch my glans with a lot more confidence than before and the sensitivity has definitely improved. I've also masturbated a few times already and have been successful. I completely avoid the glans / wound and gently tug the bottom of my shaft which worked for me.
But here's the problem. Whenever ANYTHING rubs on my glans, I am still extremely sensitive. For example, whenever I get erections, the only "pain" that I feel comes from my glans rubbing against my underwear or skin. Everything else seems to have healed well, and now it's just the sensitivity from rubbing that's bothering me.
I heard from a bunch of different people that stimulating your glans is a great way to feel pleasure during masturbation / sex for circumsized men. I really don't understand that right now. What's the difference between "pleasure" and "pain" in terms of glans sensitivity? At the moment, I can only feel the pain that comes from trying to stimulate the glans (which for me is gently touching them or accidentally getting hard and having my glans rub against my underwear or skin). I've stayed way clear of my glans even while masturbating post-op. Can someone please explain how this "sensitivity" thing works? Am I supposed to be feeling pleasure if I stimulate my glans when I masturbate? Or am I still too early in the desensitizing process to know what "pleasurable" sensitivity feels like? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hope you all have a great day!
Oops I forgot to mention this: I noticed that whenever my glans are dry (for example after blowdrying the area after a shower), my glans feel a lot less sensitive to touch (not sure whether there's a difference for rubbing). On the other hand, when there's Vaseline residue left on my glans, touching it feels more sensitive / painful than usual. Not sure if anyone else feels the same.
