I have been wearing no underwear since the procedure, but whenever the glans of the penis brushes fabric it is very uncomfortable for me. I have soaked the bandage off and everything, but I can see stitches. I have read that some people have had success wrapping the penis in toilet paper and wearing tight underwear, but I am worried about abrasion. Would gauze and coconut oil serve the same purpose? Basically what are some strategies for protecting the glans from abrasion and making going about my life more quick/comfortable?

Day 6 of Circumcision, what to do about glans sensitivity?
Hello brother the sensitivity you are experiencing is very common and it will go away or rather you will get used to as time progresses and your nervous system adapts to this funny feeling. What I did for the first 15 days was lay it open without any underwear just protected it with a robe around.
I used to change dressing using gauze piece and adhesive surgical tapes to keep it tight for the first 7 days.
Post that was advised to keep it bare and let it air dry.
Post 15 days I had some sutures gone but most remained and post 28 days I went to the surgeon to cut off the remaining sutures.
So after all stitches gone I started wearing tight briefs felt kinda stingy in the beginning and started taking 1 hour walk daily for 7 days straight. Later I did travel cities and now after about 70 days I can say its great and no sensitivity issue as such its just a matter of time.
One advice while changing dressing make sure you soak it completely in sterile or salt water else it will be a nightmare.
Hi, I was circumcised October last year and I wore a jockstrap with a box (a cup for you Ametrican chaps) but not in the pocket of the jock but just pushed in the jock if that makes sense. The box kept the pressure of my clothing away and the smooth interior of the box was much less abrasive than fabric and very easy to keep clean. This was particularly useful in bed. Whether this a feature of British NHS circumcision or my particular anatomy - I have a buried penis - I had no dressings at all and was told not to dress it. After I think it was two weeks I was told I could shower and after a month take salt baths.
After healing I found a lot of unpleasant sensitivity but reading up on here I found advice to use surgical spirit (rubbing alcohol) to densensitise my glans. ONLY DO THIS WHEN YOU ARE FULLY HEALED it hurts like hell but did reduce the sensitivity.
Hey bro I’m 19 years old. 9 days post op. I had phimosis and my glands was sensitive as fuck. Around day 7/8 my glands coukf be touched but not rubbed or anything. Just been wearing loose pants around. Try keep ur glands dry so it drys out and desensitised quicker.I find it difficult to walk around still due to brusiing on the ring around my glands but she’ll get better haha.
Also stitches sometimes sting. Don’t worry about when ur stitches dissolve, doctors use all different types. Mine are meant to dissolve around 3 weeks which sucks but I guess I’ll have to wait.
