Day 21 - Update

3 weeks today since the operation. I just thought it might be good to give an update on how things are going.

The last of the stitches have fallen out today. The wound hasn't fully dried yet. It is great being able to sleep all night and not be wakened by the pain of night time erections. The glans are still really sensitive, but I guess I just have to grin and bare it. When I can I wear loose fitting boxers. I have tried Jeans a couple of times this week, and they are uncomfortable. No more than an hour or so at a time. I am due back to work next week, and all I wear at work is Jeans, so need to get used to them.

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask. We are all on a journey together. I am so thankful for this forum. Reading other mens stories have really helped with the journey.

I’m at the same stage ish, 23rd day today. Although I still have a few stubborn stitches left to fall out. I’ve found that tighter boxers have really helped with the sensitivity when wearing clothes and Vaseline on the glans has been really good. I don’t really need to use Vaseline any more as it’s desensitised quite quickly. Best of luck going forward!

I’ve heard lots of guys say point him upwards towards your belly button… surely this idea is the reverse of that logic? Why are they so good?

Hey buddy glay to know u are healing well. I was also recently circumcised. Have u faced slight issues with urine flow? My urine stream is thin , Also I feel that when urine reaches to Meatus .it gets blocked for few seconds ? May be it's because of the swelling? Have u also faced these issues

Hey, going to the loo is 'interesting'. It is like having to learn to urinate again!. It is like a sprinkler at the start and at the end. In between is fine.

Yeah exactly. It sprinkles at the start and end. Hope it gets resolved with time.

I am now on day 22 and it is getting a bit better as the swelling goes down! I guess it is just a case of practice.

I spent 5 weeks peeing sitting down as wiping the walls and floor down was aggravating me 😂

When did it resolve completely for you?

Pretty much completely by the end of week 8…The docs always say say 6 weeks and you’re good to go and have sex etc, technically they’re right but they don’t tell you that it’s going to be a year or longer until all the swelling goes down etc and everything’s back to normal.

Thanks for the reply man..A year holy shit..In my case I am 6 weeks in. Externally the wound has healed. But the Meatus is still swollen and due to that having issues with passing urine. Just hope it resolves soon

Don’t worry too much mate,i got snipped on Sep1 last year and I was back to being completely comfortable and not having any issues with sensitivity etc by around the 10 week mark, your sprinkler issues will settle down soon,it’s only the swelling of the inner foreskin underneath the glans that’s still noticeable, that’s what takes the time to go down.😊👍

Thanks mate. Your reply has definitely boosted my mood and yes there is swelling inside glans. Just gotta be patient I guess and leave it to the healing power of time.

Have you had sex after it externally healed? Even though it’s still swollen was it enjoyable? Did it hurt at first?

Hi pal. If still sensitive I’d recommend putting a dressing on until confident enough. My sensitivity got much better within about a 2 day period around the 3 week mark but it depends on the individual.
