Circumcision after 17 days

Hey, it has now been over two weeks from getting the circumcision and the wound has still not connected in the front. Stitches have fallen like a week ago from that spot and it seems to be okay during days but I feel like nightly erections keep opening the wound leaving a gap every morning. No pain, swelling or discharge from the wound.

Have you supported the incision site against nocturnal erections in any way?

Open wound part / gap will heal by secondary intention.

How do I support the incision against erections? And I have been taking care of the wound by showering it daily and using antibacteria cream. For the first week I showered the wound everytime I went to bathroom+ every morning and evening.

You can put strips of surgical skin tape like 'Micropore' over the incision line. Apply vaseline or put strips of paraffin gauze dressing to contact layer first, then tape won't stuck into dried wound discharge.

I feel your pain. Nighttime erections are a nuisance, I haven’t slept properly for 3 weeks. Last week I ended up in a&e I bled so bad but since then the following has worked for me personally..- same as the other guy says, apply a non stick dressing and transpore tape

- wear tighter shorts to bed

- for good measure I’ve had to stick a sanitary towel down there also in case of bleeding again

If things are packed well enough I have found the erection wakes me before it gets going properly.

I wake it calms down and my healing has been better since.

Last night I slept for 5.5hrs straight but in the last week I’ve been lucky to get 2hrs before trying to get back off.

It’s not easy but has worked for me. Good luck.
