Mikehayes285 Disclaimer: I have not been circumcised, but bleeding occurring so long after the surgery does not seem at all normal. Can you get a review appointment with the surgeon?

I have asked in the past and they said it all looks fine :( so not sure what to do about it was hoping someone in here has had the same problems, I should have kept the tight foreskin I could have had sex and not worrying about it bleeding

It’s not an ideal situation. I’m no expert, but have you had blood tests to check you don’t have some odd blood clotting disorder?

Yeah they have taken bloods and other things in the past, when they done it the bit that still bleeds took ages to heal

Hi that sounds very unusual it shouldn't be like that after that length of time. you should go back to your doctor and show them some photos of your bleeding.

Will take pictures and show them next time I’m at the doctors

Hi Mike. I had mine done in April and in a similar situation to you. Erections meant the skin at the incision line looked red and tight also sometimes split. If I masturbated I usually had split skin and a bit of blood. Because of that, intercourse was a bit of a no go.I found that keeping the area well moisturised with E45 cream or coconut oil helps as I'm a bit of an old guy and aging skin doesn't have so much elasticity I suppose.

As long as I'm not too enthusiastic, masturbation is ok now and a condom helps with sex, but the area is often very red or uncomfortable afterwards.

Before I had tight foreskin, phimosis and skin bridges so I don't regret having it done as any kind of sex was extremely uncomfortable anyway.

My advice would be to go see a dermatologist. I had similar problem and was diagnosed with lichen sclerosis got prescribed dermovate ointment. Worked a treat but seem to be regressing. It's looking likely that I will have to get circumcised again.

Thanks

Hi Alex

Is there a specific type of E45 cream or is it any? Never had to use things before

in reply to Mikehayes285

Just regular E45 from the chemist. Just make sure you get the cream not the lotion as it's too runny and you can't massage it in to the same extent which is what my consultant recommends
