Week 8 post op after Circumcision for phimosis treatment

Hey guys,

I got circumcised two months ago at aged 23 due to very serious phimosis.

All my life I had never been able to retract my foreskin fully so post op was the first time I’d seen the full head of my glans.

I was extremely scared of getting it done mainly because my glans had never been exposed and therefore had never touched anything other than the underside of my foreskin.

I was concerned with how sensitive it was going to be.

To anyone out there considering or about to have a circumcision,

For me, it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

It was very sensitive at first but wearing the bandages eliminated this.

Changing the bandages wasn’t very pleasant due to the initial sensitivity.

Once I was due to fully remove the bandages and live my life with my glans exposed I didn’t notice much difference from when I had foreskin or bandages because my underwater acted as a foreskin. This was also due to very little friction while going about my day. The only thing I couldn’t do was obviously run because this amount of friction would be just above my friction limit.

I was very surprised and happy to find out how tolerable the sensitivity initially was throughout the post op weeks.

I’m a drummer in a very energetic punk band and was able to immediately continue my crazy drumming two days into post op without any pain or discomfort.

Now, I actually forget that I was even circumcised while going about my day.

Now, two months in, I’m allowed to masterbate again. I just need to use lube but can do it in the exact same way I’ve always done so which is nice!

Good decision?

It was a FANTASTIC decision!!

Thanks for sharing, it's really important to get these perspectives on adult circumcision and recovery. Not sure I could have been bashing at a drumkit so soon - I still haven't tried cycling 4 weeks in. I'm sure it would be OK but I like throwing myself down muddy forest trails and end up bailing a fair bit so it's probably best to wait a bit.

Great that all has turned out well. Guys need to remember that a good circumcision is possible but is not also the appropriate treatment for phimosis. Always get assessed by your doctor.

Mate seriously couldn’t of said it any better! I am 3 months in and 26 years old! Do not regret it one bit.

So much time and energy spent on stressing about it!!

I’m so glad my partner put up with it for 5 years! Definitely chose a keeper!!

I had never been comfortable when having sex because I was nervous my foreskin would pull back

Is all the sensitivity gone now because I’m 4 days post op and I’m getting better but I’m a football player and I need to get to training and school and I’m not yet wearing clothes
