Circumcision bleeding

Hey,

I got circumcisioned yesterday as a 27years old because of phimosis. My bandage had little bit blood in it and today I went to shower and changed the dressing like doctor said. Actually he said there is no need for dressing but I can use it if I need to. Well the problem is that I got schoked because in the shower there was some bleeding. I went to nurse straight away and she said it’s all good but when I came home it started to bleed again little bit. There is one place that I can’t see down my glans that was bleeding due to nurse. Have you experienced any bleeding?

So scared because I haven’t had any operations during my life…

Update: I went back to doctor and he put one more stitch and burned little bit. Should end the bleeding even there might still be some but smaller amounts. So sad that i got bad start for recovery and I’m fearing something went wrong even I did this in private doctor in scandinavia. He still said it’s all good and it was not even neccesary to put the new stitch there but said that he can do it if it bothers me…

It doesn't seem like it was an issue. Judging from your story it seems like you removed the dressing within 24 hours after surgery. Doctors normally recommend removing dressing after 48hrs post op. I'm on day 22, things are looking pretty well, but when I removed the dressing after 48 hours I had some bleeding as well, so it is normal to bleed especially during the first week.

I didn't put any dressing, I've left the wound open since then and fortunately I haven't had issues since then.

Give it some time it gets better!!

Thanks for your answer! There is not many people who I know that has been in this same situation so I really appreciate this. I think I was just hesitating. Now I’m not in pain anymore even my glans is super sensitive and I don’t wear anything and just staying home so far… There is also swelling in the frenulum area but I think it’s normal. How long it took to start live normal life like working walking normally etc. ? (not about sex it takes more time:D)

Yeah that's very normal, the frenulum area has always been the slowest in the healing process on my side.

It took me about 2 weeks to start walking normally. I'm fortunate enough to still be working from home which has made things very easy.

I got more comfortable wearing underwear over the last week, I'm still wearing tight briefs. The gland is still sensitive so boxers are still a no no, the movement is very uncomfortable, but trust me it gets better befit you realise it.

Once all pain goes away, the hardest part is the wait. Right now I'm just waiting for the stitches to fall off then on the 6th week go for a test drive.

Not what you're looking for?
