Hello everyone, I'm 10 days into my post circumcision and I'm actually surprised to say I've been pretty pain free at this point.
The docs said after to not be too agressive with cleaning it in the shower and not to use soap on it for little bit.
I have followed this advise and have just sprayed the warm shower jet onto my penis in the shower but have not applied any "force" whatsoever to what's going on.
HOWEVER, I have not been sure about what to do about certain bits of skin that is attaching to certain bits of the head of the penis, and I just googled and saw some horrendous pics of skin bridges which now make me want to jump back in the shower and put the shower on full power jet and make sure none of them are attaching themselves.
After 10 days, what should I be doing cleaning wise with it or am I doing it right for the time being?

Hi dnzl, I am at the EXACT same point as you in terms of timeline.. I was done on 10 October.
Can't bear anything down below but showers are OK...albeit im just allowing water to wash over it.. zero pain/ sensation, but glance accidentally it with a towel..omg!!
Stitches still in but seems to be healing ok.
Hypersensitivity is my main concern.. had no surgical pain really.
Haha yep snap 10th had mine done as well. I really do feel like I’ve gotten away with it in terms of pain but perhaps I’m just dead inside cos I don’t feel much of anything 🤣
I’ve also never washed my hands as much in the last 10 days - and that even includes during Covid times haha I really don’t want to get any infection or whatever.
I’m just not sure how much I’m supposed to “help along” the sort of peeling and flaking that happens
Do you not have any sensitivity to underwear? If not, I'm well jealous! Lol.
I was ok post operatively, no surgical pain at all.. made sure I was proactive with the paracetamol and ibuprofen they gave me.. they also gave me dihydrocodeine but I didn't need to use them.
As for peeling.. no sign of that with me yet.. stitches still in place but getting a bit "jaggy" now i guess. I'll be adopting a hands off approach! I'm scared of it! Haha.
Good to have a "brother in arms".. we will remember the 10 October for the rest of our days! Hahaha.
I’m about 36 hours in . Dressing came off today but i can’t bear anything touching it. I’m having it hang out over the top of my underwear as it’s bearable but I feel that can’t go on. I live on my own so can’t even get vaseline. From experience how long does it take to get bearable ? I’m reaching out because you seem about 10 days ahead of me.
hey man, I honestly didn’t have much pain initially after mine. Was uncomfortable yes for a few days but mine wasn’t too bad and didn’t even take painkillers after the first night.
All I can say is do whatever you can to make you feel more comfortable. First couple of days I pretty much stayed naked whole time and then after that I had super loose pyjama bottoms on, and then my regular underwear. I’m nearly 2 weeks post and I’m by no means back to normal yet but I can see a difference all the time.
I also washed my hands before and after every (sit down) wee, as did not want to risk any infection and dabbed it dry with tissue every time to make sure no urine getting into cuts etc.
Thanks for the support . i’m dabbing too after peeing . Actually the tip is ok . Aim can be a bit random so i relate to the sit down . I’m pleased to hear I’m not being unusual staying naked . How did you manage at night . i’m thinking propping myself on my back ? I hear vaseline can help . Only problem is getting out to get it lol - i’d get arrested
When I was 'done' (40 years ago now), I had a folding bed cradle which held the bedclothes away from my body so I could sleep on my back. Its use allowed me to at least enjoy decent, pain-free nights!!

Thank you . i’m fortunate in my climate to not need bed sheets . I am at the stage now where i’m wearing underwear but with padding, mainly so that if i change position whilst sleeping I don’t upset anything. Many of my stiches have dissolved but not all. I’m not convinced i’m healing correctly however so i’m being very careful. In a week it will be a month since so I will find out what my consultant says then. I am now managing to get out and function but still getting back home is craved so I can uncover again.
Thank you for your response. I hope you receive reassurance from your consultant when you meet next week. It's not an easy time, but if you're anything like me you'll be glad you had the procedure, once your have fully healed.

My underwear hasn't caused me too many problems - again, feel like I've got away with something. Maybe cos I'm 40, my whole body is dead to sensitivity already haha.
I only used painkillers for the first night and that was more preventative than reactionary. I guess it's different for everyone.
I think you will get some peeling - apparently due to the head being exposed to air constantly for the first time it sort of sheds skin haha. Nobody told me to expect that so was a bit of a surprise.
Will be interesting to see how we progress having had it on the same day, will keep updated in here mate. Nice one!
Hi mate, Three weeks in right enough; and what a Three weeks it's been! Lol.
Now stitch free as of yesterday which is good.. Still sensitive at times but not as much as it was last week.. literally is getting better by the day.
Still very much "hands off" if you get what I mean, but now the stitches are gone night time "rushes of blood", shall we say, are neither painful or waking me up as they were.
So on balance, in a much better place than i was, thats for sure.
I've got to be honest with regards to the stitches, I've not really been sure what I'm looking at half the time - so I'm not sure whether they've gone or not yet. I don't think they have lol
I've got my surgeon checkup on Tuesday night, so I'm gonna let them be the judge of it haha. I've been pretty painfree throughout luckily, so all good on that front.
I absolutely "get you" on that haha. Boners are annoying as hell but not painful either haha.
I mainly have a good check up on it when I'm in the shower and I'm happy everything is clean as can be then I don't mind sort of touching it having more of an inspection, but I think it's all going ok? We'll see I guess haha
My stitches were blue but as they dissolved they became gold and rigid.. I just picked them off with a pair of tweezers- zero resistance. The wound has healed fine from what I can see; ill just leave things be until I reach the magic 6 week mark.. what's another three weeks eh? 🙄🤣

Mate yours probably looks way more down the line than mine then haha. I haven't so much as pick anything off of mine at all, just been letting nature do it's thing? Although there a few bits of like... loose skin etc which I'm assuming are gonna drop off as time goes... but I don't really know haha. I guess I'll be asking my doc all this on Tuesday when I see him. Too weird same day - Not Chelmsford as well is it? haha

To be honest I wouldn't have went near the stitches but I could see them dissolving and when accidentally touched one of the rigid gold threads, the full thing came off..so I thought I would try with the others. It seemed that the parts within the skin had dissolved and the bits above were merely just sitting there probably due to location.
I guess if you're still getting a bit of stretch in the middle of the night.. your stitches are still holding. I'm sure the surgeon will have them off on Tuesday if your wound has healed so not long to go! 🙂
Mate, how did you checkup go? He's more than happy with mine, as am I to be honest. It's now looking like a healed "normal" circumcised penis to me.
Question though... how you getting with pissing? haha. A month on, and I can count on one hand how many standup pisses I've had. I've found since being cirumcised there are 2 types of piss, and to be honest neither of them are as useful as before haha.
Type 1 , and is preferred of the two, is incredibly powerful and long stream of piss which means you have to stand about 5 feet away to get the angle right.
Type 2, and is absolutely horrendous when it happens, is what I would describe as similar to if you put your thumb over a garden hose to make it spray everywhere. This is really really annoying - and you don't which type of piss you're gonna have until you actually start. I'm dreading a time I'm out and about and type 2 happens, cos basically you're just gonna be covering your outfit in piss. haha
Have you found the same struggles as me or am I just unlucky?
Also, got to ask, have you had the urge yet for sex/hand shandy? I'm only just now starting to look at it and think it's actually in good enough condition to try haha But they did say 6 weeks, so strictly speaking it's one more week from tomorrow. Anyway, hope all going good with you!
Check up all good buddy. Healed well, stitches out and looking "ok" (I'm still getting used to it)
And as for pissing.. oh you are absolutely right; you don't know what you get until the flow starts..! To be honest 9 times out of 10 I'm able to stand as I did before but there are times when it goes all over the fecking place!! 😄
In work or when out, just to be safe, I use a cubicle and sit.. its no great hassle and I'd rather not supersoak either the work toilet or my trousers! 😄😄
As for the old Tommy tank (rhyming slang).. tried it Friday and still too sensitive.. so it wasn't happening. Like you I'm going to hold off until week 6 and see how I go then. It's nearly here.

haha I'm glad it ain't just me with the pissing! I guess it's like re-learning how to do it all over again. It wasn't really something I considered before the op but it's really annoying when it goes everywhere. As you say though, it's not really any hardship having a sitdown wee anyway. Much safer option than ending up with piss all over myself haha

Yes its probably fine day to day and for its primary function but beyond that..its maybe not ready.
To be crude i managed a manual empty last week but it wasn't straightforward.. need to learn new methods!! Like you, my wee fella wasn't to happy so I'll save the Full on for another week or so.. although i think it will be easier than a manual!

I would say 10 days is still early so take it easy. Swish it about gently in the bath or let the spray run around. Only use very mild soap, pat do not rub and air dry if possible.
I'm zero pain as well. the problem I'm having is now I can't even watch a porn for 2 minutes. My sperms get released within 2 minutes without even touching my penis. I'm not masturbating because of the wound. Just wanted to watch a porn. This problem hurts me mentally a lot. I have never experienced such situation before Circumcision. I'm in my 16th day after Circumcision.
