Its been around 43 days since my circumcision and theres a persistent ring of swelling below the head where the stitches would close the incision

You need to give time for healing. Post-operative issues will not disappear immediately. It could take from weeks to months to fully heal.

I think I have the same problem. I’m 30 days on from circumcision. Is your ring of swelling pink? It’s like a band.

Yh exactly what i have by the sounds of it its a normal form of scarring that will get better with time

Doesn’t look right. Like a circumcised penis should have no rings or lumps

If it looks off then consult a doctor but from a lot of the replies ive been seeing it takes months for the area to look normal again

That ring is how your skin reacted to the scar, i was circumcised last year freaked the f out after noticing that the ring (swelling where the stiches were) wasn't going away, so i went to the dermatologist and he told me that it was normal and not an issue (except aesthetically) and if i didn't like it and it had such a bad effect on my mentak health i should undergo another surgery and get the stiches again acter gerring that part of the skin cut but there is no guarantee that the it will not come back, he told me to wait 2 months and then come back if it didn't go away and it was an issue, it didn't completely go away as it doesn't in 90% of the cases when it occurs but it shrunk quiet alot in 6 months it's not even there when you're erect and that's no issue for me so.. yeahGive it time (6- 9 months) and it will shrink but probably won't go away completely but with time you forget about it and it becomes normal

Yeah, i had this question as well but none replied so i went to the doctor (in Italy it's free so why not) and he explained it and said i could get another surgery but i didn't bother as it's perfectly normal.
