Sex after circumcision

Hi Mates. Just to inform you. I was quite scared that I would lose sensitivity during sex after circumcision. I’m hear to tell you that I had sex for the first time since my circumcision and it was better than when I was uncircumcised. My frenulum was removed so no tethering pain there and the head is completely unleashed from the foreskin so sex was amazing. I didn’t last a minute lol. Also, I needed to have sex because I was having blue balls. Constant erections and it wasn’t fun. I managed to hold out 5 weeks. I took it very careful and slow and I didn’t have any issues. So don’t be discouraged. Sex is still amazing mates. Take care.

Recommend wait time for any sexual activity is at least 6 weeks to promote healing… let me be politically correct and clarify that before some one comes and miss the entire message to point that out. Thanks

Great ... Enjoy those terrific sensations while they last. Now that your glans is permanently exposed to drying air and chafing against clothing ... sensation will gradually recede into the distant past, and they won't bother you again.

My pops got done at 17. He’s 54 now. He said sex is still better than when he was uncircumcised. Don’t spread that false information buddy. Take care & Be Nice.

Likewise. Except not all cut guys are as fortunate as your father, and of course we have no idea of what sort of problems he might have had before his cut. Has he ever explained the problem in detail? If not, why not ask him and let us know. OK?

I’ve spoken with several guys that were cut late not just my pops. And they all say sex is better. I haven’t talk to one person yet that says it’s not… my pops got cut the same reason I did. frenulum tear. I’d like to believe if sex wasn’t as good then circumcision would have been stopped a long time ago.

I hate to say this, but I fear all you can do is 'grin and bear it'. Wounds and tissues have to heal, and to engage in sexual activity so soon may potentially compromise your ultimate recovery. Six weeks seems a long time now, I know, but do your best to contain your enthusiasm. I am truly sorry I don't have more positive advice for you.

That's not what I was hoping to read. May I respectfully suggest a visit to your GP or a practice nurse is in order to seek their opinion?

Oh! You've already seen or spoken to them? I'd've thought that four weeks is plenty long enough to wait, assuming that they are dissolvable; normally two weeks would see them start to fall away. Maybe leave it a few more days and then nag them again and see whether they can remove them for you? I feel for you having this problem. I do hope it gets resolved quickly and you get back to normal life. With best wishes.

Yes. My last suture didn’t fall off until week 5. Doc was not concerned and said don’t worry it will fall off and it did

Hey great to hear some positivity around this topic as I had a nightmare on Google with questions and answers. I’ve been winging it as the aftercare instructions were garbage and only covered the 2-4days after the circumcision.

I was worried about it all but after I had it done ai felt much better about it all. I had 20 stitches in total and it’s been 17 days since the snip and on day 15 I removed 16 of the stitches myself as they were still miles away from dissolving and a friend of mine also had it done in the same hospital years ago said that some of the stitch did not dissolve internally and he had a painful process of removing them (himself and wife) about 6-8 months later.

So I decided once the skin was totally healed I would remove the stitches myself and know that the internal part was not inside me.

However I left 4 in on the side where incision wasn’t as “pretty” so to speak and the skin has not 100% join back together. I will leave them there till it’s fully healed then if not yet dissolved I will remove those as well.

I have some hard scar tissue under the skin in a ring where they have made the incision but not directly under the incision and I have been told to try and massage this to help break it up by a wound care specialist. Anyone have this or been told this?

How is the scar tissue in the following months or years in some cases ?

Also saw the blue balls comments and I have been on a couple date and tryed to keep things very very PG as wasn’t looking to get hard or tear a stitch. But I have had 3 days alone and had a painful case of blue balls. I finally felt it was safe to have a very gentle wank and the blue balls have gone. Hopefully that’s it and I can now wait till I’m fully healed until I try anything more sexually.

How long did you all wait to have sex? Was it the full 4-6 weeks or just when the skin was fully healed and the stitches were gone?

how long to loose the super sensitivity on the head, mine is still very uncomfortable when walking for very long?

Yes aftercare advice tends to be very sketchy to say the least.Assuming the cut is closed try massaging some E45 cream into the scar tissue to soften it and smooth it out. It's what my consultant recommended. It should even itself out, I have no trace at all now.

The blue balls thing is murder to deal with. I stuck it out for 8 weeks before attempting anything but everone heals at a different rate. Try wankingwith a condom on for a while to protect the cut from friction. Maybe the first few of times you have sex too, till you're sure everything is healed and you feel comfortable.

Sensitivity will lessen the more you walk around without protecting your penis.

Now that a few years have passed since your circumcision, are you still finding sex to be as good as before your procedure (if you can remember)? Is sex still as amazing as you originally wrote?
