Will sex still be good after circumcision?

Hi guys, I’m most likely going to have to get a circumcision because of phimosis. I know that you lose sensitivity but I was wondering if this has negative affects on sex and masterbation? I can’t find any good information on what sex is like after circumcision. So If people who have gone through adult circumcision could share their experiences that would help me a lot. Thanks.

I’m 64 years old & had a circumcision 8 weeks ago due to phimosis....yes you are right you will loose some sensitivity, but you will adapt to a slightly different way of masturbation & let me assure you sex will be far better after your circumcision....... I last a lot longer & my penis gets a lot harder & erections are easier to get & sustain. I’m having the time of my life & my wife is loving it. 👍

Circumcised around age 20 for medical reasons. Sex for me was 100% better. Yes a very slight loss with keratinization. But even as a senior, sex( yes we still have it) and masturbation with a lubricant was and still is outstanding. I personally did not miss my foreskin. It was excessively long and would roll over itself during sex, covering glans( not good) plus I had a very long thick frenulum that was painful. I think you will be fine. when you say lose sensitivity do you mean feel less during sex ? whats changed mate masterbation wise ?

For me actual intercourse doesn't feel as good as it used to now after getting cut. However, surprisingly masturbation and oral sex both feel way better than before.

Well sort of. But I have to be really, really horny to be able to enjoy it. And even then I have to pound my partner like a madman in order to feel anything. It's just so exhausting. I used to be able to have very slow passionate sex. That's all gone now. I really have to give it everything I got to reach orgasm. And it takes like 15 to 20 minutes minimum of constant hard pounding to get there. Not really fun for me.

Sharing & support. Only those having had sex can truly relate to adult circumcision & feelings before and after. What is a bit confusing is so many men circumcised as infants for religious or by parental consent, seem to have children and positive sex experiences. Just my thoughts

I used to occasionally have that problem before being circumcised and I found that changing position made a huge difference, e.g. doggy -style I’d feel sensation that I couldn’t with missionary. Maybe that would help?

Yes I have noticed this too. Doggy style is basically the only position where I am able to climax. Missionary is impossible for me by now.

I can have sex nonstop for 1 hour without reaching orgasm. And i don't feel anything when doing missionary, but laying down doggy is much better or from the side.

Very good suggestions. For me sex should be slow-the pounding, not sure what you mean. I hope both you & partner are using lubricants if needed.

If you have a phimosis that could be solved only with circumcision, you must go ahead. You should feel better after -a well done- surgery

I was circumcised at 52yo -no medical reason- loose and low style.

My experience is that oral and penetrative sex feels the same. Masturbation worsens, even with lube.

But, that's MY experience with this specific surgery outcome.

Every circumcision, every penis is different, as is the man attached to it.

So every individual will have different outcome, not only cosmetic but also in sensations.

There's no way to predict it.

My advice is to choose a good doctor. That's the MOST important thing.

There should be plenty of urologists there.

Do you have private insurance or is in the public health system? The first one will allow you to choose doctor.

Unfortunately, everything is cost, and from what I understand waiting in public health system. Here, just waiting from pandemic, otherwise one can usually see a Dr, also depending on types of insurance.

I would suggest a urologist, rather than a general surgeon. I might suggest: what type does he perform, how long in practice etc. Think of every possible question and if he might have anonymous feedback. Just my thoughts

Absolutely. With phimosis if it cannot be resolved, medical circumcision will help, my opinion.

If you can’t retract your foreskin when erect due to phimosis then you’ll gain sensitivity rather than lose it, i.e. you can’t be enjoying much sensation now

Had my circumcision done last year took about 7 weeks to heal. I had the same concerns as you bud, but trust me if you have phimosis imo this is the best decision. For me sex is pretty awesome now. Even the blow jobs are wayyyyy better

After 31 days I had sex with my partner. Yhh sex is more enjoyable now.Now I can have deeper penetration,I can feel inside her.My partner is also happy with it. She likes when my glan of penis hit her cervix. Earlier while having sex ,my foreskin always comes foreward and hide my glan.She need to pull back after 10 or 15 thrust.Now no more such issue. Also In earlier case,while having sex,foreskin holds the glan to go inside entirely (as lips of vagin holds the foreskin tightly,so it does not allow my penis go entirely inside even my deep thrust or her). But now no foreskin, so if I push my penis inside her,it goes entirely inside her.Now we can have deeper penetration.

Sex is more pleasurable now. For better sex, lubricant is essential. I think it doesn't matter whether you circumcised or not,If you use lubricate,sex will be more enjoyable. In general,vegina can't provide you enough lubricant for longer sex period. Before circumcisSion and after circumcisuion,both cases I have use ky jelly as lubricant for our sex regularly.

Also love is also a fector to achieve organs. We love each other.We can easily get orgasm whener we want during sex.I think orgasm is completely psychologycal. During sex If you think about your work or any other thing,then definitely you can't have orgasm.Friction of penis inside vegina is not enough to get orgasm.You have to feel her during sex (by forgetting any other things), only then you can get orgasm.

As a whole,right now my sex life is far more better than previous one.

I was circumcised a long time ago so don't know what sex feels like without being cut. But I have lots of feeling on my tip and no issues whatsoever. I love it but don't have anything to compare it to. Just my opinion
