Unable to retract foreskin at 17, self conscious

Hi, Ive recently turner 17 and I am unable to retract my foreskin beyond my head. It is extremely painful and tight when i try to pull it down and causes discomfort. I have no father figure to ask about this so I’d thought id ask here. Theres a small circle when i retract and i am worried about my sex life ahead. I attempt to pull it down everyday in the shower and nothing seems to work. Theres a line/string thing which is keeping it attached and ive researched it saying it should be detached by the age of 6 however not the case with me. It has caused me a large amount of anxiety and stress and i hope one of you fellow men have the answer

PS: I havent seen a doctor and to scared to ask my mother to take me

I suggest you to talk with your mother. There is nothing to be embarrashed. You need to see doctor who can evaluate your problem properly.

Hi Man, it's quite common to have phimosis even into adulthood some guy's can have it. You should speak with your Mum don't be embarrassed. and she might even know from when you were younger. she cares about you and would want to help you. You don't have to tell her everything just that you want to see the doctor.It can take some time to stretch the foreskin the doctor might give you some steroid cream which would help a lot.

It sounds like you frenulum might be short this connect the foreskin to the glans your doctor will advise you on all your concerns don't be in anyway embarrassed about asking questions.

I might wait until i turn 18 and go bymyself and practice stretching exercises until then

Hay man that's fine take things slowly with the stretching in a warm bath or shower will help. If you do decide to go to your doctor you Mum doesn't have to be there at your age its a private matter between you and your doctor and the steroid cream would really help. wikihow.fitness/Do-Phimosis...

Hi ,

I had my Circumcision 3 weeks ago due to Phimosis. That’s what you probably have . Tell your mum , don’t be embarrassed. She is your mother she has seen it but wouldn’t have known it was going to cause you problem. After I got circumcised I approached my 15 yo and told him that I know you have the same problem and now trying to encourage him to just get it done before he becomes too self conscious about it . My wife did not notice it so your mum most likely would not have either . Just do it and see a doctor. If you need to get circumcised trust me you will love your new dick .

Don’t rush into circumcision. There are other options first. Circumcision should only be a very last resort unless that is what you want? The string that you have is probably your frenulum which is supposed to be there unless removed. Can you retract when you are flaccid?

tight foreskin does not automatically equal phimosis, which is a distinct medical condition. the vast majority of foreskins are tight following separation from the glans. this can happen up to 20 years of age, even. i remember having to stretch mine at first and - yes - sometimes it was uncomfortable. after i started having sex it stretched so much that it's almost loose. but never be afraid to see a doctor - it's what they do every day. m. if you're in the united states be aware of pro-circ nutter doctors.

Man, this comment was actually really helpful man. Yes my foreskin is still attached go the glans, i will continue stretching and trying to retract as much as possible in hopes it slowly detaches thanks mate

Have you tried to pinch the end of your foreskin and start peeing. This will balloon the foreskin and help separation. Make sure that you squeeze the urine out after you are finished.
