Moisturise or not?

I am at 3 weeks now post operation. Going to get follow up appointment with surgeon but seeing conflicting advices to moisturise glans or not. Apparently loss of hypersensitivity relies on glans drying so what should I be doing? I also dont really know what to do in terms of wound care from now on, have just been doing 1/2 salt soaks a day.

If your wound has now closed then you do not need to continue the salt baths. They are only used to prevent infection while the wound is open. As to the glans, you can moisturise or not depending on what is comfortable for you.

You should moisturise now to keep it soft and smooth. The sensation will die down the more you touch and handle it.

Hey bro, its been a lot of time since.How has everything gone. I was circumsiced 5 months ago. Scar a bit raised and sensitive to masturbation. Did it all settle down after a year?

Best person to check with all of this is ur doctor. Colour difference didn’t change really no, maybe less red and more skin colour tbh. Although that never really bothered me and I hear it fades with more years. Scar changed in appearance a little and I would say it does settle down a bit but mine was never too raised. Use lube .. don’t really think you can do it without lube and if it’s still bothering you just ask ur doctor.
