dry/slightly wrinkled skin on glans

Hey, I’m an uncircumcised 22 year old guy. Recently I’ve noticed that the glans of my penis is more dry looking/feeling, with slightly wrinkled like marks appearing. It isn’t as smooth as it used to be, and has become more obvious over the last month. My foreskin doesn’t cover all of my glans, and I thought it could have been a result of friction? I wash it with warm water, and don’t use harsh soaps. Is there anyway to reverse the dryness and make the skin smoother and less calloused looking? (I’ve been using coconut oil the last few days but am unsure if this is helping).

Are you sure there is no infection there? And if you are sexually active, you should consider STI screening.

I’ve taken medication for possible fungal infections like thrush. And I haven’t been sexually active since I last got tested a couple months back. I’m trying to get an appointment with my GP but there aren’t any appointments atm

if any part of the glans is continuously exposed it will dry and it will develop the characteristics you mention.

If your foreskin doesn’t cover the head now it will dry out. You could try Vaseline to keep it moist. If it bothers you try stretching your foreskin like the guys who stretch to recreate a foreskin after circumcision. If left the exposed part will get dry and calloused like a circumcised glans.
