I can't get it up during sex or even masturbation

Long story short I had circumcision surgery in November 2019 and since then everything has been okay, I had my up and downs where I couldn't get it up but it's always sorted its self out. Around a month ago I had sex and everything was fine but after my last encounter, I have been finding it extremely hard to get it up even for masturbation, I have attempted to have sex with my partner and I can't get it up at all. This is really affecting my sexual and mental health and by me not being able to have sex with my partner I feel as if she is put off by me and now expects me not to get it up when we attempt to have sex. I don't know what to do I thought I should just ride it out and let it sort its self out as it has done in the past. It has been like this close to a month now and I'm getting really considered and worried about what to do. I'm a 20-year-old fit and healthy guy this shouldn't be happening to me, what do I do?

You are young, and I am sure you and your gf don’t want this to develop into a serious problem.

At the very least, you need a chat with each other about your situation.

Subsequently you need to see an understanding GP and discuss options for referral for psycho sexual therapy.

Hi Jack you really should speak with your doctor and partner sometime we put to much pressure on ourselves and it just doesn't work it's like a mental block. maybe your partner could give you a full body massage and let everything relax completely. Do you have morning wood or when you wake up during the night?

I haven't had morning wood or a proper erection in a while maybe a couple of weeks now

Ok jack you should get checked out so that wouldn't be normal you may need to see a urologist. Try the massage an just relax completely with your partner see if it helps any.

When things work and then they stop, something has gone wrong internally. I can pretty much guarantee that things won't repair themselves, and it is possible that this is the start of something that will get worse. It may have nothing to do with your surgery. There's a lot of tubes and nerves and things involved. Go see a doc, or go see three, and find out why. NOW.

I did go through something similar following my circ' but probably not as bas as you describe. Initially sex was amazing, probably due to abstaining for six weeks !Anyway my problem was if I lost my erection during sex, for whatever reason I could not get hard again whereas pre-Op a quick tug got me going again. This led me to worry about losing it which led me to losing it more. Mrs would just cuddle me and say it didn't matter.

Well yes it did. We went back to basics, kissing, cuddling foreplay. if it led to sex great, if not no matter just don't stop. I also had to persuade her that if I lost my hard on we had to carry on. Her saying it did not matter did not help.

We had to carry on in other ways, I would pleasure her or just watch which sometimes got me going again. Now I am fine most of the time.

Important thing is not to stop. Enjoy the experience if no improvement go see Doc'.
