I have an old circumcision scar/tunnel that bulges out when I'm erect. It gets sore with friction. Anything a urologist can do about it?

I had a botched circumcision as a baby and nearly bled to death. I was taken to the ER where the problem was fixed. I noticed as I grew older that there was a scar on the side of my penis that was like a tunnel and still had undissolved suture in it. Over the years I squeezed out bits and pieces but couldn't get it all. About a year ago I noticed the scar was becoming hard, as though calcifying, and now it bulges out when I'm erect. Friction makes it very sore, which puts a damper on things. Can anything be done about something so old? (Me included! My circumcision was 67 years ago.)

You can always ask a urologist for an opinion. The pain must be hard to put up with. It is possible that a cyst has formed which can possibly be excised.

Hi I had stitch tunnels from my circumcision 28 years ago I had a re circumcision January 2020 . I could have just had them removed but opted for a re circumcision as I thought with 5 stitch tunnels I’d end up with a much better scar . One of my stitch tunnels was particularly painful at times with stuff in it that I had to squeeze out since having it done I haven’t had any issues like I had before .
