Indented tight scar

Ive had an circumcision 8 weeks ago everything is healed but when i have an erection the scar is tight its feels like an elastic band around the penis is this normal?

Have you been applying any bio oil or coconut oil on your scar line to soften it?

I rub in baby oil and the tissue seems to loosen a bit but when having erections its stil a tight scarline hope this is part of the process

Hi Mike- yes, this is normal and part of the healing process. The tight ring you mention is scar tissue that grew to fuse the two skin edges together after your circumcision.

The scar tissue there is just like any other new skin that grows on your body except this new tissue is in a very noticeable area that can swell to multiple times it’s size when you get an erection. A scar on your finger or arm or leg just doesn’t undergo the tension that the penis does and that’s why you feel tightness & possible pressure and pain with erections. It’s normal. The new skin that formed at your incision site has to go through a maturation process over next 6 months to a year before it’s considered fully “healed.” Gradually you will notice the tight ring starting to loosen up as the tissue matures and starts to gain elasticity like the other skin on your penis.

Having frequent erections are good and will help this process along. Gentle masturbation will also help regain elasticity though your body can do this all on its own- it just takes time. Massaging in circular motions around the scar line with the oil will also help. Do this several times a day for a few minutes.

I was circumcised about 8 weeks ago and I still get some swelling after a masturbation session and I am a bit tender for a day or two after having sex. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hey bud. What type of circ did you get? At 37 days I was the same as you. I’m currently at 3 months and it’s gotten a lot better, it’s still a bit there but there’s improvement

Bro im in 38 days of cercumsicion. Almost heald. But back of the penis head 4 very loose stiches bothering me. Why they still there, if other all dissolved already. Why only these still there?

With my Shang ring I’ve kind of experienced the same thing feels tight and I would describe exactly the same like a rubber band lol. I’ve already noticed improvement at 9 weeks starting to feel very normal and loosening. Used bio oil once and it already felt like it was working going to keep using it too loosen scar and blend the skin. It’s definitely normal don’t sweat it. Just out of curiosity is the skin flush for you at the scar or is it slightly indented like the skin on either side isn’t connected?

I have the same issue, infact I still have swelling above the scar below the glan. I keep it moist with babyoil but it doesn't feel like it's getting loose, am beginning to get concerned.

hi, don't be worried it's totally normal, you have to massage the scar with a cream (Cicalfate is great) for 6 months, the scar will loosen and you won't have any more erect worries.

Hi all I'm 10 weeks in (Shang Ring) and I still have a tight indented dark band of scar tissue, so my erection has what looks like a 'phimotic waist'. Mild pain also when masturbating.So I'm hoping you guys are right and this will sort itself in the next six months because I really don't want to go through another procedure.
