Hey Everyone, I had my circumcision almost exactly a month ago and noticed these whitish spots just under the head yesterday...is this something to be worried about or does it look like some skin drying out?

Did you have sutures on scar line? If not. Those white spots looks like a remnant of skin glue then.

I had dissolvable stitches but I believe they are all gone, it’s been about a month. I don’t recall the doctor mentioning any glue.

Well, your wound line has healed quite nicely, cause it's just a month post-op. Not much swelling on the former inner foreskin area anymore. Did your frenulum removed? Those white spots could be a dry skin layer like you mentioned. Have you tried to scratch them out? Is there any pain on that are?

Thank you, yes the healing process has been quite smooth. My frenulum is intact, is that alright? It is all healthy as far as I can tell, just a little startling to actually be able to see it after all the years of phimosis. And so far I’ve been putting lotion around the penis twice a day, I could attempt to scratch them out tonight when I shower.

If the frenulum would have been removed, it'll take more time to heal. It's totally ok to let in be as it is, if there is no issue on that area. The dry skin spots will loosen by itself too.

Sounds amazing, I’ll just leave the spots alone then. Thank you for taking the time to respond.

I had this, I was circumcised on the 10th of February and had some spots and “dead skin” in the same sort of place, just leave them be I did and kept on washing best I could as my sensitivity took a long time to feel comfortable, looks fine and normal to me.

Thank you I’ll continue doing that!

Aquaphor or petroleum jelly are the only “lotions” you should use, everything else can cause other issues. Looking at this, you look completely normal. Just change over the type of lotion you are using and ensure it’s never fragrant.
