It been well over 2 weeks since my circumcision, is it normal to still have stitches?

It’s possible that that the self dissolving sutures have not dissolved. Call your doctors and have him check it out. Maybe he can remove the bits that are heavy and aren’t dissolving or falling off.

I’m three weeks in myself, still have a a few stitches from my circumcision. I also have a few more extra on my frenulum because I had a frenulectomy as well. I was told by my doctor that the first ones will start to dissolve around two weeks after the surgery and the latter will take a bit longer. Next week I have an appointment to check out my healing progress. Soaking your penis in lukewarm chamomile tea twice a day will help in dissolve the stitches and prevent infections.

Yes. My stitches started to fall off in week 4, and were gone at the end of week 5. How it works is that the stitches actually dissolve into your body/skin. The rest of it flakes off. For me, it mostly came off as I was in the shower.

For different people, it will fall off different times probably because of pH balance, metabolism, diabetes, diet, etc.
